He stashed them in warehouses, at his farm and in other spots around the town he worked in for 50 years. Auction site - https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=68562

boyst Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Did they ever get a full list of all the cars?
BuffaloBill Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Its on history channel right now. A buddy of mine is producing the show. That's cool... But you have friends?
Helpmenow Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 The only really impressive car is the 78 pace car vette. Others have low miles and rusty.
Jim in Anchorage Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 The only really impressive car is the 78 pace car vette. Others have low miles and rusty. Cmon. a smog engine vette? Are high miles better? Wonder if there's a 59 impala 348/409 tri power there.
Helpmenow Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I would take it. There no L88 , 427/435 or LS6 chevelles Alot trucks, i did not see anything collectable in the muscle car era
Jim in Anchorage Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 No crossram z-28, alot of base cars Never heard of of a cross ram Z-28. Must be a factory trans am car. Lot of carb for that little 302. See I like the late 50's-early 60's performance cars more then the 66-71 iron. Maybe because I saw so many of the late 60's 1970 muscle cars growing up.
Helpmenow Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Crossram was a dealer installed option. Solid lifter cam in the 302. Fuel injection then most of those chevy's were.

Yeah and Ford released tunnel port heads for the boss 302. A 302 with intake ports you could put a beer can in! Great if you run 8000 rpm all day. Give me a big block any day.
Jim in Anchorage Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Cleveland engine I know all about it. Bob Glidden owned pro stock though the 70's with his 351 C despite the wedge head Chevys [Jenkins] getting a weight break. The 351 C was maybe the best street engine ever released but it was born at the wrong time. Smog regs killed it.
Helpmenow Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 (edited) LT -1 was very good too. 370 hp and 11:1 compression ratio solid lifter cam. All great engines Edited September 30, 2013 by roush
Jim in Anchorage Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 LT -1 was very good too. 370 hp and 11:1 compression ratio solid lifter cam. All great engines Shame smog regs ruined it. 1970 was the last year for the high compression engines. Then it went to the sick 8:1 with EGR , air pump and Cat.
Helpmenow Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 (edited) I had the 1970 version of the LT-1 in my 66 ss. Edited September 30, 2013 by roush
Chef Jim Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I didn't look at all of them but looks like he made some serious $$ on getting rid of all those.
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I didn't look at all of them but looks like he made some serious $$ on getting rid of all those. Would have made many times more if He had preserved them. Parked in a muddy field in Nebraska is not the way to store a car 50 years.

I was going to say that it said he stored a lot of them in a warehouse and every pic I saw they were a mess. You're right they would have been worth millions had he stored them right.
