Canadian Bills Fan Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Sorry if this has been posted already http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/09/26/antoine-winfield-pursuing-nfl-return-in-right-situation/ I sure hope the Bills may be that right situation CBF
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 "After a distinguished 15-year career, Winfield no longer has to play football. If he decides to play again, it will likely only be for a team that has a chance to make the playoffs and a deep postseason run." Based on this criteria, I am presuming that playing for the Buffalo Bills is not the "right situation."
26CornerBlitz Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Cut Rogers, sign Winfield and give #26 to a player who's worthy of wearing that number. Okay, I'm awake now.
K D Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) I doubt any Super Bowl teams would want him unless they get depleted by injuries like the Bills. If he came here he could walk right out there and be our best d back. So it sounds like he doesn't want to play football, he just wants to get a ring Edited September 26, 2013 by kdiggz
Bangarang Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Perennial loser off to a rocky start doesn't sound like the right situation.

So it sounds like he doesn't want to play football, he just wants to get a ring It happens - in 09 the saints pulled mike mckenzie and Chris Mcallister off the streets when their corners got beat up late in the season. I just don't see any reason to he'd come back. We're not a contender- Almost no ties to the coaching, roster, etc.... so it wouldn't even really be a homecoming for him unless he and littman liked to golf together.
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I guess people don't read to well.
K-9 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 If you think Rogers can't cover anyone, you haven't seen Winfield in a while. GO BILLS!!!
RyanC883 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 sounds like he is telling Denver and Seattle to call him if they have injuries.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 If you think Rogers can't cover anyone, you haven't seen Winfield in a while. GO BILLS!!! Seriously? His play has declined that much?
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Unless he means right situation as a free place to grab a paycheck then he might think Bills. I doubt it since he means playoff contender.
KD in CA Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 This thread just makes me pissed off about yet another great player the Bills let walk away in the prime of their career.

Mickey Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) Sorry if this has been posted already http://profootballta...ight-situation/ I sure hope the Bills may be that right situation CBF We would have to be in a pretty desperate situation to.....oh, wait...
