OCinBuffalo
AP/AR is way more difficult than managing universal healthcare. Nothing like being beaten by something you could have solved by hiring an Accountemp. This is the worst thing about government: they can't even do the simple things well, because they are spread all over the place trying to do too many things. Does anybody really believe that the State LCBs can't handle 90% of the ATF's role by themselves? What do we need a Federal presence for? Isn't this mostly the local sheriff's job? drinkTHEkoolaid
JFK would have been a neo-conservative. The irony is that modern liberals love Kennedy...but if they really had any idea they would actually be conservative. Like the liberal playbook says.... tell a lie enough and it becomes the truth
TakeYouToTasker
The guy that proposed Medicare??? The Civil Rights Act??? Come on... Yes. Kennedy described himself as a paleoliberal, and was a Cold War centerist Democrat who believed strongly in international American Exceptionalism, and believed that our superior morality was handed to us by God. It was from men of this philosophy that neo-conservitism spawned. Kennedy was one of the origional neo-cons.
3rdnlng
Kennedy was a fiscal conservative and believed in a strong military. He also was a patriot who believed in American Exceptionalism, unlike many of the so-called leaders that are now not governing this country..
