pocoboy Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 The talent deficit went way beyond the quarterback position, no matter how much you think (or don't think) EJ Manuel will develop into the QB of the future. Everyone slapped a division crown on these guys after one win. Cool your jets (no pun intended). This will take at least another draft to rebuild. If they are able to right this ship in 2013, so be it. Just hope that Whaley can continue to do well in the draft.
The Big Cat Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I've decided that "re-building" is an inaccurate description because it's been a while since the last time anything was built.
TheBrownBear Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I've decided that "re-building" is an inaccurate description because it's been a while since the last time anything was built. I prefer to view it as reloading. As in putting another strip of caps in the popgun.
GA BILLS FAN Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I've decided that "re-building" is an inaccurate description because it's been a while since the last time anything was built. I agree, after 13 years, RE implies something was previously built. I, like most fans was willing to give Brandon a chance when he announced that he was given the "keys" to the franchise. I was hoping he was "under Ralph's thumb" during the previous years and was going to "change the culture" and focus on winning, NOT !! Let's face facts, you need go no further than the $20M in unspent cap space as we watch Colin Brown get "blown up" every week, have ZERO depth on O-line because we let Rinehart walk, have a pouting pro bowl safety and no depth at corner --- I know I've been beating the unused cap space drum for weeks now, but that is the #1 reason for the failure of this franchise -- it lacks a commitment to win --- sure Brandon wants to win, but he is not committed to winning !! ---- it sickens me that a guy who has failed for 12 years is promoted to run this team completely with "no restrictions" --- so much for a "performance based culture"
Homey D. Clown Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) This broken record is getting really old, no matter how you spin it, it's another year of rebuilding. I really dread the thought of an entirely new coaching staff, front office, and QB prospect in 3 years. At this stage it's obviously really early, but seeing the same old Bills get run all over yesterday just punched me in the gut as a fan, and I'm finding it hard to keep seeing the brighter side. Being irrelevant year in and year out flat out sucks. And I don't for one minute buy into the Russ Brandon theory in any way, in fact, i see him as the man who will lose this franchise to another city when that day comes. Dan Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I've decided that "re-building" is an inaccurate description because it's been a while since the last time anything was built. True. Its more like "fumble around in the dark put some stuff together, turn the lights on... nope. turn the lights off and keep stumbling" mode. Maybe its easier for the players and coaches because they're all new and whatever. But as was just said, for us fans... seeing the same old Bills get run all over yesterday just punched me in the gut. It flat out sucks. Seeing the way this team continues to play, especially against division teams, you have to wonder at times do they even care? Do they? The only 2 players that ever seem to really care are Freddie and Stevie. All the others, just go into shut down mode and go back to looking at film.
