BuffaloBaumer Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Dude, fix your thread title. I just quit my job before reading what this was about...... now that is funny
NDBUFFCUSEFAN Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 this could be accurate. I hadn't considered that. it was very close, why not sling it either way? but yeah you could be right.... No play called, no protection scheme, and a blitz heavy defense. Also, they were 92 yards from the end zone.
BringBackFergy Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 this could be accurate. I hadn't considered that. why not sling it either way? but yeah you could be right I said the same thing above so maybe we were on to something...get microscopes in here to tell us what really happened.
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 No play called, no protection scheme, and a blitz heavy defense. Also, they were 92 yards from the end zone. Yeah... Then just heave it. Maybe hope for a penalty on the D. Even if it is a late hit on the QB, you know how the league is.
TheBrownBear Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Yeah... Then just heave it. Maybe hope for a penalty on the D. Even if it is a late hit on the QB, you know how the league is. no one was running routes. it was a dead play.
Bills fan since 87 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 to those who say there is no reason to sling it I submit this: But as a poster had said before maybe time had already run out.
DC Grid Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Maybe he had the Bills in a super teaser and realized the chances of success with no play called and no time left were far outweighed by the chances the Jets would score a defensive TD and blow the 13.5 spread....just saying.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I like the fact that this thread is now 2 pages. There is no quit in this asinine debate, that's for sure.
thebug Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 now that is funny This needs more love. Thank you....I thought so....

Chilly Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Of all the things to criticize the Bills about for this game...
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Of all the things to criticize the Bills about for this game... Really? IMO, it is understandable. You don't want to see your team quit like that. I know, the situation warranted it... BY what ND said... Fair enough. Yet, it does leave an empty feeling in your stomach when it has to end like that. No matter how irrational it seems to take that knee.. It was most likely the best thing to do... Live to fight another day. BUT, as a fan... That is so hard to accept. It is like being called a surrenderer! Edited September 23, 2013 by ExiledInIllinois
PromoTheRobot Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I just watched the ending on Game Rewind. EJ did kneel down but he also put the ball on the ground. I doubt it was giving up. Maybe he got confused and he thought taking a knee would stop the clock. It the grand scheme of this game this isn't even worth discussing. PTR
