bills44 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 In coverage (if you can call it that)? I still think that Geno Smith sucks. He was the beneficiary of the worst CB performance I've seen in 30+ years of watching organized football.
kasper13 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 At least 120 on the two TD's. Other than that, probably at least another 100.

bills44 Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 Regardless, those deep throws of his were accurate. I can't remember them all. I do remember Hill having to slow up for one of them. Rogers also had a long PI, right?
bills44 Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 229 yards, 2 TDs on 5 targets... That's it? Only 5 targets?
BillnutinHouston Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Geno DID throw sideline patterns in bounds, unlike EJ.
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) I couldn't tell who said it but I heard it was "To infinity and beyond!" Edited September 23, 2013 by Meatloaf Sandwich
zonabb Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Regardless, those deep throws of his were accurate. BS... The game winning TD was under thrown and a semi pro CB turns his head and makes the play.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 That's it? Only 5 targets? does not account for pass interefenernce penalties...
Captain Hindsight Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 In fairness to Rogers he should never be in that position. He is our 4th corner.
Big C Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) That's it? Only 5 targets? The stat may only be for the deep ball. It wasn't 100% clear if that was all his targets or just the 5 big ones. Geno did only complete 16 passes for 331, so that does account for a huge chunk of it. Edited September 23, 2013 by Big C
Beebes Bubble Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 BS... The game winning TD was under thrown and a semi pro CB turns his head and makes the play. Leodis wouldn't have made that play the last few seasons, yet seems to be much improved this year.
ALLEN1QB Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 235, 765, 867, 976, 456, 765, 890, 999, 876, 451
MDH Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Regardless, those deep throws of his were accurate. And he made them under pressure. On both throws he was in the process of getting drilled by a Bills defender and he stayed tough and made pretty good throws. It's funny how Bills's fans can't give Geno credit for making plays. As if it somehow means the Bills made a mistake in drafting Manuel. If Geno had to face his own D he would have looked like crap too. Fortunately for him he got the face the Bills D.

As if it somehow means the Bills made a mistake in drafting Manuel. If Geno had to face his own D he would have looked like crap too. Fortunately for him he got the face the Bills D. Absolutely not! The first one to Hill...Hill made the play. The dude almost had to completely stop to catch it, it was a blown coverage by Rogers and Searcy...so badly that even a horribly thrown ball, that had interception by mostt every DB in the league, all over it. Same with the one to Holmes, albeit a better throw, Rogers over ran the receiver, never turned his head, a la Mckelvin of years past...again, most #1 or 2 CB make that play. For all the troubling realizations that surfaced in this game, Rogers single handedly lost that game for the Bills. Even in the ugly ones, such as yesterdays stinker, a guy like that stands out in all the wrong ways.
ALF Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 "Rogers had no pass defenses; Smith completed passes against him for roughly 270 of his 331 yards thrown on the day. He was also flagged for a 22-yard penalty for pass interference call." http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Bills-secondary-hit-with-big-plays-injuries/b536ea14-e0b7-4752-992d-f0af216d4c03
K D Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Despite how badly everyone played, Rogers single handidly lost the game. I've never seen anything like that. Why didn't they give him safety help every play?
Maury Ballstein Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 All of the yards. Rogers was a one man dumpster fire.
MDH Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Despite how badly everyone played, Rogers single handidly lost the game. I've never seen anything like that. Why didn't they give him safety help every play? If Rogers "single handedly lost the game" then there's nothing anybody else could have done to help him. Now, if there are some things others could have done then others share the blame in the loss.
