Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Down here in Carolina, watching the Panthers Giants game, Giants are making the Bill's line look like a Super Bowl team, Eli has already been sacked three times in the first eight minutes or so.
devldog131 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 The Bills oline, with the exception of Brown at LG, is extremely solid. The gints line this season has been less than spectacular.
Bob in STL Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I had not heard that Brown was grading out poorly? I don't expect him to be Andy Levtire but what has not been solid about his play thus far?
frogger Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 If all we need to get is a LG, the future looks bright.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 Exactly, there's been one sack, how bad is Brown really doing?? No team can afford five all pro's, one weak player you can get away with. Guy I'm playing in a fantasy league has Eli, wish we had minus points for sacks right now!
ko12010 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 2014 could be crazy exciting after we likely target G, TE, OLB, and possibly CB depth in FA/Draft
Big C Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I had not heard that Brown was grading out poorly? I don't expect him to be Andy Levtire but what has not been solid about his play thus far? Brown has been really bad, but the rest of the line has masked it.
Nanker Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Eli's been sacked about 6 times now. The Jints had something like 5 yards total in the first quarter.
Malazan Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Brown has been really bad, but the rest of the line has masked it. They also scheme away from him as well. The thing that bothers me is that he is the best choice they have...hopefully he improves or legursky can step in and do better
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 Wow Giants coach, Tom C has to be going nuts, six sacks by Carolina on Eli a;ready, Giants intercept down on the Carolina 20, 1st down Wilson runs it in for TD, but called back for a penalty, second down another sack, kick a field goal from 20 and kicker misses.
Dragonborn10 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 2014 could be crazy exciting after we likely target G, TE, OLB, and possibly CB depth in FA/Draft Just change the order to TE, G, another TE, OLB, and CB and you sir are correct!!! Oh and someone put a wet mat in foront of Lee Smith please...
K-9 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I had not heard that Brown was grading out poorly? I don't expect him to be Andy Levtire but what has not been solid about his play thus far? Why, how could you have missed the numerous posts around here that show ProFootballFocus ranking Colin Brown, not only as the worst OLman in the league, but indeed, the worst PLAYER in the league. GO BILLS!!!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I had not heard that Brown was grading out poorly? I don't expect him to be Andy Levtire but what has not been solid about his play thus far? I am totally serious, but watch Brown for like 2-3 plays today. He will look so obviously horrible on at least one (if not all) of the plays. The guy makes Mike Puccillo look like an all-star.
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I am totally serious, but watch Brown for like 2-3 plays today. He will look so obviously horrible on at least one (if not all) of the plays. The guy makes Mike Puccillo look like an all-star. He is really brutal.
devldog131 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 And losing Urbik did us no favors today either. I just pray that he and Legursky are good to go for next week.
Big C Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 And losing Urbik did us no favors today either. I just pray that he and Legursky are good to go for next week. Urbik did come back pretty quickly. Hard to tell though, I know.
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Urbik did come back pretty quickly. Hard to tell though, I know. Yeah, he was right back in there. Besides, Urbik being out really doesn't excuse Brown's lack of talent, skills, and abilities.
thewildrabbit Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Yeah, he was right back in there. Besides, Urbik being out really doesn't excuse Brown's lack of talent, skills, and abilities. or excuse some of the rest of the players on that line... Wood, Glenn are the only two really solid players IMO, and with a poor LG it makes it difficult to run on that left side now 33 for 144 = 4.36 ypc avg. then take away the one long run of 46 yards and redo the math. 32 for 98 = 2.96 ypc avg. When this same player with mostly the same players around him averaged over 6 yards per carry last year.
