FluffHead Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Wondering how crowded/delayed the trains get on gameday. Going from Penn to Secaucus to Meadowlands on Sunday. Assuming I need to give myself at least an hour and a half so I don't miss kickoff.
GG Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Go to Hoboken on PATH train. Then you pick up the train at the starting point and guaranteed to get a seat.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I've taken the direct bus from Penn Station - was a breeze.
BuffaloBrad Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Second on the advice of taking PATH to Hoboken to pick up the train there. I've done this before and it's worked well.
Nanker Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Haven't done it myself, but my son has several times... the PATH from Hoboken. It's a breeze, and no DUI worries either.
Captain Caveman Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 On a related question, how is getting home on the same train after the game? Not too crowded / drunk / disorderly? Am I getting pegged in the back of the head with a beer bottle for wearing a bills jersey?
Nanker Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 On a related question, how is getting home on the same train after the game? Not too crowded / drunk / disorderly? Am I getting pegged in the back of the head with a beer bottle for wearing a bills jersey? Easy - it runs every 10 or so minutes for (I think) 2 hours after the game ends - THEN THEY SHUT IT OFF - so don't hang around too long. Probably not on the other items. I went to the Bills/Jests game two years ago - again it was a 4 o'clock game and windy as Hell. Great game. Sanchize was intercepted 5 times or so. Lots of spirit in the parking lot tailgating and in the stands. Bills won. No issues with rowdiness, but ya never know. It's probably not an issue at most stadiums, but there are azzholes of every flavor and team colors. Sad to say, there are a lot of Bills "fans" that are just that. Keep cool. Enjoy the win!
FluffHead Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 Thanks for the advice guys. Go Bills
