Not at all. If they're just sitting there they're not entrapping anybody. Now if they initiate altercations and then arrest people for reacting that's another thing. And how is sitting in a stadium any more expensive than sitting in a park at night waiting for muggers & rapists, or sitting on a highway on-ramp citing people for letting their safety inspections expire? I'd hope that even putting the possibility out there that people in the other team's jersey might be cops would help curb the issue which really is one of the biggest in-stadium problems.

Otherwise, it is expensive no matter how you look at it. Well let's see. Considering the NFL is actively trying to provide a safer in-stadium environment I'd bet the jerseys are provided. Not that a T-shirt & cap doesn't have the same effect. And the cops are doing their jobs protecting the public so I would not expect them to volunteer their time. Otherwise, it is expensive no matter how you look at it. i bet they could wear items that arent authentic nfl jerseys, and i suspect even so the teams/nfl would be fairly willing to supply some items. if you just want to be angry, go ahead i guess, but of all the wastes i think this is one where the city actually sees some return by providing a positive gameday experience for visiting fans.... not to mention no one deserves some of the verbal (and physical) abuse doled out at stadiums. Might not be entrapment every time, but it certainly will be at least sometimes. Keep your security, and get more, I won't be in the country much less the games, in any event.

They had headsets and could hear/talk to uniformed peeps. They didn't have on gear of the Bills or the pats* but they were there to keep an eye on people.

I remember the one guy got beat up by some Raiders fans a couple of years back. That is about it for real violence. If you wear another teams jersey to the game, you can expect a bit of verbal banter. Which incidentally is not illegal. This is not an endemic problem that we need to regulate and police, so much. Less regulation = greater freedom. Good thing for most.

Exactly.....the NFL network promoted the **** out of the new league bag/bringing stuff into the stadium policy......they could do the same and make a huge difference.
