bmur66 Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) I have so many good things to say about many players after this game but one that stood out that I haven't heard much talk about is Aaron Williams. Yea, he had a dumb penalty but this kid is a heat seeking missle. Did you hear those hits? Wow. I can tell you Gilmore won't get caught between him and a reciever again. Webster Guy Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Yeah he was always a killer hitter in college. Playing safety is such a natural place for the kid. He is getting tremendous experience right now with Byrd out.
PaattMaann Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 but man there are no excuses for that TERRIBLE penalty - could have been very costly.....
RealityCheck Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 It's great to see a young player finally be put in a position to be all that they can be. Every player on defense handled their business. After watching all the cheap shots on SJ during the game, I didn't mind the penalty as much.
bizell Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 has he been that good at safety? i remember him being very, very, very underwhelming at corner.
nucci Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Yeah he was always a killer hitter in college. Playing safety is such a natural place for the kid. He is getting tremendous experience right now with Byrd out. He would be playing even if Byrd was in.
HamSandwhich Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 He would be playing even if Byrd was in. This, totally different position
Alaska Darin Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Yeah he was always a killer hitter in college. Playing safety is such a natural place for the kid. He is getting tremendous experience right now with Byrd out. I was more disappointed in his read on the Ginn TD. That actually cost us.

Two wasted seasons when the DCs couldn't realize that his natural position looks to be at safety. Love the fact that we have a good one. When Byrd gets back, the combination will be awesome
johnnywo Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 More than Williams, I am impressed with McKelvin's play....really stepped it up since Gilmore's injury! But I am also pleasewith Williams.
