bbb Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I feel so sad for his family. But in perspective...there are a lot more 16 year old boys dying in car accidents than from playing football. 6 have died in 100 years or so of WNY football. I'm sure it's a lot more than that in just one year on the roads. And, what I'm wondering - is it football that killed him? It's very mysterious from the articles. It would be good for parents and players to know the truth, I think. And, also out of those 6 players, at least one was an aneurism and that could happen any time........I read recently that way more people die playing basketball than football............And, it makes sense. I can name at least 6-7 people who died who I knew before they died. I don't think I know the name of anybody who died playing football except for this kid, and I didn't know his name obviously beforehand.
