B-Man Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Word on the street is that Obama is willing to give him a waiver if Johnny agrees to catch just one Obama pitch. "whats the word on the street, Johnny?" sorry.........................couldn't resist. .
B-Man Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 One More Campaign: Obama Stumps for the ACA : The president is trying to fix what’s broken the only way he knows how: by selling himself. By Charles Krauthammer “Obama to campaign to ensure health law’s success” – The New York Times, November 4 The Obamacare website doesn’t work. Hundreds of thousands of insured Americans are seeing their plans summarily terminated. Millions more face the same prospect next year. Confronted with a crisis of governance, how does President Obama respond? He campaigns. “I’ve got one more campaign in me,” he told grass-roots supporters Monday — a series of speeches and rallies, explains the New York Times, “to make sure his signature health care law works.” This odd belief that rhetoric trumps reality leads to strange scenes. Like the ShamWow pitch, Obama’s nationally televised address trying to resell Obamacare. Don’t worry about the website, he said. I’ll get it fixed. And besides, there are alternatives, such as an 800 number that he promptly gave out. Twice. {snip} This rather bizarre belief in the unlimited power of the speech arises from Obama’s biography. Isn’t that how he rose? Words. It’s not as if he built a company, an enterprise, an institution. He built one thing — his own persona. By persuasion. One great speech in 2004 propels him to the presidential level. More great speeches and he wins the White House. But then comes governance. A speech in Cairo, utterly crushed by the Arab Spring. Talk of a Russian reset, repeatedly thrown back at him by a contemptuous Russian dictator. Fifty-four speeches to get health care enacted — only to see it now imperiled by the reality of its ruinous rollout and broken promises. I’m not surprised that Obama tells untruths. He’s surely not the only politician to do so. I’m just surprised that he chooses to tell such obvious ones — ones that will inevitably be found out. Who will tell Obama that lies so transparent render rhetoric not just useless but ridiculous? .
Nanker Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The Emperor has no clothes! He is the least qualified person to ever hold the office of POTUS.
3rdnlng Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 http://www.gopusa.com/commentary/2013/11/08/lemiska-when-is-a-lie-not-a-lie/?subscriber=1 Obama, himself, had a less subtle defense against those who would dare attack his integrity. On Monday he decided to lie again, defiantly announcing, “What we said was you could keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law was passed.” Obviously, that caveat in the second part of the statement was never mentioned during the countless assurances he offered early on. Whether it’s about the Affordable Care Act, Benghazi, Syria, or transparency in government, Barack Obama’s words come, not from the heart, but from political calculations. And he seems to believe that ultimately he can use his silver tongue to repair any of the resulting damage. It didn’t work when he tried it on Monday. That contradictory statement was so bizarre that many are now wondering if our President is a pathological liar. So what now? No one knows how the ACA will play out. One estimate shows that more than 129 million people, one-third of the population, may ultimately lose the health insurance they now hold. Another prediction suggests that 30 million others will still be uninsured even after the law is fully implemented. Obama will certainly be remembered as the most dishonest President in history, and some commentators have even begun tiptoeing around the “I” word. Until now, Obama’s popularity and support in Congress has made him invincible. But as millions more lose their health insurance, and congressional Democrats begin to back away from Obama and the ACA, who knows? Ultimately, the people will decide if this massive fraud perpetrated on millions of Americans meets the standard of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Until then, they will have to live with the consequences of the elections because, after all, they handed Obama the power he so richly abuses. In the meantime, Jay Carney, the New York Times, and all those defenders of the President offer this joke on the American people: “When is a lie not a lie?” The punch-line is not nearly as funny as they think: “When it’s told by Barack Obama….period”
IDBillzFan Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Well, here's some welcome news on the Obamacare front: 78% of uninsured have no intention of buying insurance. Don't these people know the whole reason Obama pushed this law through was for them? Ungrateful bitches.
Nanker Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 So only 5% of the American people will be inconvenienced by being dropped like a wet, stinky, sloppy turd by the Government from the health care insurance they previously had. And we're told it's an insignificant number. However we've been continually hammered about how important and significant that the gay, lesbian, transgender population is, yet they're less than 2% of the population. This isn't about providing people healthcare. This is about the government controlling your lives and your bodies. If you think Nanny Bloomberg was ridiculous with his food bans, wait till Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Shibboleth and the EPA mandate what foods are safe for you to eat and which foods will be banned. Thanks libs! You know so much. You own this steaming pile of goat custards!

Don't these people know the whole reason Obama pushed this law through was for them? Ungrateful bitches. Why would they? A good portion of those uninsured chose that route because they didn't want to pay for it. So why would they pay now?
Koko78 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Why would they? A good portion of those uninsured chose that route because they didn't want to pay for it. So why would they pay now? Because it's their civic duty to pay their "fair share", so that the less fortunate can live off their money.

IDBillzFan Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Adding Another Lie To The Pilehttp://news.investor...pile.htm?p=ful I'm quite a bit late to the party for not realizing earlier that the reason the WH delayed the employer mandate is because the number of people gettting cancelled at time would probably be 4x the number now. What an unbelievable mess. If only some people saw this coming and warned everyone.

What an unbelievable mess. If only some people saw this coming and warned everyone. Yep. Although I thought they did it to prevent all those cancellations before the midterms. However employers will have to let their employees know they're getting cancelled prior to October. The midterms could be a bloodbath.

There will be an executive order around August either extending the mandate again or preventing employers from informing employees until November 15th. OBEY!
TheMadCap Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 There will be an executive order around August either extending the mandate again or preventing employers from informing employees until November 15th. OBEY! This is my prediction as well. No way to they allow themselves to get slaughtered in the midterms over this when they can say it's still not ready to go yet...
DC Tom Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 There will be an executive order around August either extending the mandate again or preventing employers from informing employees until November 15th. OBEY! Nope. It'll be an HHS regulation, announced on a Friday afternoon. Probably the afternoon of August 8th, when Congress has been out for a week.

And I can write pages about the problems in the design, production, and use of all of that **** that, were it to happen today, would be a major !@#$ing scandal. (For example: jeeps were unarmored!) Completely bull **** comparison.
