/dev/null Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Anyone else catch the season premier of Sons of Anarchy? Looks like Robocop had a malfunction and Dave Navarro went from cameo last season to possible regular, working for Senator Bail Organa
Alaska Darin Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Let's see: Prison rape, torture porn, prison violence, a shootout, a murder, corruption, a porn whore with a busted grill, a school shooting, etc. What isn't to love?

And a brief history lesson by Professor Peter Weller on the difference between Iranians and Persians
mrags Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Lol. It was great wasn't it Dev/Null Not that I don't LOVE that show. I'm just REALLLLLLLY surprised they had that scene at the end with the school shooting. Very odd considering all that's going on. With all that said, I can't wait until the next episode.
meazza Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I flew through season's 1-5 and i just lost interest. Jackson is a horrible actor. These dudes are broke as !@#$ and anytime jimmy smits is a regular, show goes down hill for me. I also watched the first ep of season 6 and i'm out. I think breaking bad just brought up my expectations
mrags Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Anyone that thinks SOA is not cool, is not cool with me. Just saying.

mrags Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Naw. It's alright. That's how hard core biker criminals would act. ;-)
meazza Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Naw. It's alright. That's how hard core biker criminals would act. ;-) And jackson is exactly how a hard core whiny little B word pretty boy would act apparently
ajzepp Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I've started losing interest as well, and even though I was glad to see it back the other night, I'm pretty sure I saw a glimpse of the Fonz in the teachers lounge of that school strapping on some water skis. .
gomper Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Same old, same old. I really liked this show for the first few seasons but now it's the same thing every week. The Sons have gotten themselves in a huge mess...but wait 5 minutes after the break and they'll get out of it....until the next mess....but wait! they'll get out of it after the break.....but wait! the Sons are in another jam.....yawn. i will say the school shooting angle is interesting but to me it's more of the same.

The issue is they stretched the show out too many seasons. Ideally now they are on track to really get back into the story arc instead of the fluff your complaining about (although it'll obviously still be there). What this episode was all about was that these guys aren't just skating through and setting the stage for the major tolls catching up to them. Jax and his kids, tig and his kids, Nero and his kid (the toy gun), the school shooting.... Their terrible legacies and the emotional tolls are catching up (and the legal issues as well). I think this season will be a mixed bag reestablishing what the show really is (sutter seems to feel the need to counter an emotional moment with a prison rape scene so expect some big swings), but I think the final season will be much better than the last few. I haven't read that anywhere. In fact I thought Jax signed on for at least 2 more. This one and next one.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I gave it a shot but the acting is just bad. So the reason you don't like SOA is because of the bad acting and Breaking Bad has raised your expectations? I love both SOA and BB but in all honesty when it comes to Breaking Bad I have never seen worse acting on a good show. Don't get me wrong the main characters are good. Cranston and Aaron Paul are amazing at their craft but I cringe at badger, skinny Pete and even Marie when they are on camera. Worst actors on TV bar none.
TheMadCap Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 I've seen what's on Netflix, but unfortunately, unlike most shows, Netflix has not out the previous season on yet...

This and the next. I think this will be a bit of a mixed bag getting back to the planned story (which might take some work for the writers to force pieces together and tie up loose ends)and next will be really good.

Hazed and Amuzed Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 The actors who do Badger and Skinny Pete play the stoner thing quite well Ehh they are terrible actors, sorry.
meazza Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Ehh they are terrible actors, sorry. We all have out opinions but nah, i totally disagree. That being said i can't stand jax. My 3 year old nephew whined less.
