Chef Jim
In my opinion halibut is one of the best fish to cook and eat. And when it's fresh it's fantastic.
Nanker
I love halibut steaks. It's a great fish. But that's a Great Fish! Whoa. I know they've got to harvest it, but man, I think I'd be tempted to let it go. That's an old, old guy right there.

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing, but didn't want it to get all PETA-y around here...love halibut! Edited September 11, 2013 by Buftex
Pete
There has been a month long fluke competition going on here in CT that concludes the 15. First price is something like $6000. Well the past 3 years my buddy finished 2nd. Well this year he is first with a 12 pounder. Last week someone caught one 2 oz lighter. He only needs the 12#er to stay on top 4 more days. Fingers crossed
5 Wide
Not going to lie, its a bit sad seeing a fish that lasted 150 years get caught. I love salmon fishing, and with the 4 year life cycle, you never get a fish that has been swimming around since the US Civil War.

You'll have to try hogfish, or grouper some day. Once, I caught half a fish. Barracuda bit it right in half before I could land it.
