BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) The only reason this game was close was because of Mike Pettine. He is a brilliant D-Coordinator. Impeccable scheme. Hackett was awful today. Predictable, conservative, not taking advantage of matchups and adapting that Jackson should have been focused after the 1st quarter. Questionable headcoaching. We perhaps witnessed the worse challange in recent years. Taking into account the recent inepness, of Mularkey, Juaron, Williams. Even more clueless about time managment in the 4th quarter than these guys. Unfortunetly I think Pettine will be poached from the Bills after this year or next. Dorkington Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Pettine couldn't stop the Pats in the second half.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Just think if we had Mike Pettine last year with Gailey and our offense last year. Perhaps a playoff team. Pettine couldn't stop the Pats in the second half. Uhhh, how many points did they score in the second half?
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 PENALTIES that is what killed this team Penalties and turnovers.
clayboy54 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Yet once again our vaunted defense snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

Fixxxer Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) First game of a new regime, I'm encouraged from what I saw today, though Marrone needs to be on his players about penalties and ball security. Edited September 8, 2013 by Fixxxer
Dorkington Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 LOL I know, funny how our defense didn't step up on the final drive and we lost. Our whole team is to blame. Though, the offense was more disappointing than the defense, that I agree on.
microscopes Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Pettine couldn't stop the Pats in the second half. The Patriots scored 6 points in the second half...
Bangarang Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 When the offense is moving the ball and clicking, Hackett and his offense will be praised. Lets just bench CJ, fire Hackett and tear it all down tomorrow.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Pretty sure we ran about 7-8 offensive plays the entire game.

Marrone also needs to do his job correctly. Did you see that challange. It was pitiful. One of the worst coaches challanges I have ever seen.
PastaJoe Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 So predictable on 1st down with Spiller running the ball and putting them 2nd and long. He was ineffective, try some play action.

qdawg in philly Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Hackett is the only one I questioned on the coaching staff. Imo, I think his play calling was bs!! As for the d in the 4th, perhaps the were winded because of the 3 and outs. I'm not feeling Hackett at all.
