nucci Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 The thought that went thru my mind (besides WTF) when we were running no-huddle with a lead and 5 minutes and change on the clock was the movie "Tin Cup" "Gimme a ball, Romeo" it was a 1 point lead.
apuszczalowski Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Can't blame the defence at all today, they kept the team in the game all day while spending almost 2/3's of the game on the field If this was last year everyone would be ripping Chan and the coaching staff for this. marrone and Hackett deserve plenty of blame for this, along with the players on the field who didn't execute. Its been said around here hundreds of times over the years that the only way you beat Brady and the pats is by keeping Brady on the bench. This was something the Bills offence couldn't do and in the end it cost them the game. I'm not saying "Fire Marrone/Hackett" or scrap the offence and start over, but they will need to learn that they need to modify/adapt their schemes and the way they do things at times in order to join the Big boys and be successful.
Big Turk Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 The fact we went no huddle with 5 minutes left is irrelevant, since we went 3 and out. Now if we would have gotten 6 or 7 plays and still running no huddle, then we could have a discussion. But 3? No, made Zero difference with NE having 3 timeouts and two minute warning. This is trying to create an issue out of a non issue, and if you do the math it makes no sense.
