BuffaloPride Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Stevie Johnson is not clutch. Dropped two passes on third down that would have been first downs. All mouth. Amendola and Edelman were clutch.
Big C Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 We made a statement to the NFL not to sleep on us. But I am really pissed right now.
Optometric Insight Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Like many, I was not expecting that they were gonna come this close. Unlike many, the fact that they were this close makes me hopeful for what's to come.
xsoldier54 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 !@#$ this. Winners win and losers lose. Exactly. Penalties, turnovers and a miss by Stevie. They found a way to lose and that is the bottom line.
Chandler#81 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Lindell just won the game for TB.. Ok, well, I was wrong. I guess this means Geno > EJ? I still say ' Hell No!'
xsoldier54 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Are you kidding? Lots of mistakes but I am encouraged with the way they hung in and I think EJ is the real deal. Granted, it's the first game and they have a long way to go but I like the direction in which they appear to be headed. Bottom line, they found a way to lose a game they easily could have won. Same old Bills.
stevestojan Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The Stevie drop and Marrone going no huddle with 5 minutes left up by one killed us. Still, overall nototoo bad. (You know you're a bills fan when you're happy by just not getting blown out.)
Screwball Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Ok, well, I was wrong. I guess this means Geno > EJ? I still say ' Hell No!' No. EJ everyday. All day, 365 days a year.
BaldSicilian Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a Bills game this much. How many rookies did we field? Manuel looked like the real deal and the defense attacked. We may not make the playoffs this year, but things are looking up!
Nitro Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Spotting NE in the 1st quarter was tough. You eliminate that kind of mistakes and you will win games. Not a bad debut for Marrone or EJ. This team will improve. Lighten up those who are doom and gloom. This team has me upbeat for this season. Lindell just won the game for TB.. Ahem...TB lost.
BRAWNDO Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 No. EJ everyday. All day, 365 days a year. Watching Geno on the sideline after the Jets Game solidified the decision to take EJ
DefenseWinzChampionshipz Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Jets won by a miracle... Bills officially 4th place in AFC East... Miami won also... Next week is our time to turn this thing around...
CSBill Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Well, a moral victory, but who cares about that. The Defense played well. Manuel did fine, not spectacular but did what he should . . . although I question his judgement on that last pass. Spiller did nothing, I really wish they would have had Fred in on the last drive and give him the ball three times, at least you run a few minutes off the clock. And was it me, or did Pettine chock on calling the blitz in the 4th quarter? Or did I miss it? And speaking of that last drive, that, I would say, was I HUGE coaching blunder, run the ball, and run the clock. Lets hope Marrone learned something about game management today.
notwoz Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Are you kidding? Lots of mistakes but I am encouraged with the way they hung in and I think EJ is the real deal. Granted, it's the first game and they have a long way to go but I like the direction in which they appear to be headed. The game was close, and the Bills couldn't close. To me that's the same old Bills. But I'm glad you're happy.
Fixxxer Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I will say one thing about the offense, though, I would like to see Easley given the chance to make some plays with EJ throwing the ball.
phypon Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Bunch of cry babies, man up, please. It was an exciting game. Buffalo showed emotion, fire, no quit. they hung in there. A moral victory? Maybe. A tough loss, sure. They did more than I expected them to do. I enjoyed watching the game. There are so many new elements to this team right now. This game wasn't even supposed to be close. I'm proud of the Bills. They've got swagger and class. Some of you guys need to act the same way.
maddenboy Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I think the most important think I learned today is: "Moral Victories" are no longer worth a damn thing. This team is good enuf to win. Figure out how to win.

voodoo poonani Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Moral victory? How? I don't see a column for that in the standings. Our best DB today was undrafted rookie Nikell Robey. LBs didn't fit run gaps. Very little pressure from front four. Dareus got pushed around a lot. Offensive play calling was abysmal. The hurry up killed us. Spiller was ineffectual at best, and had a costly fumble. Overall discipline was terrible. Special teams were ordinary. Coaching was subpar. There's a lot to fix before the next game.
