prissythecat Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 The Raiders will be starting Terrelle Pryor this weekend rather than the much hyped Matt Flynn. I wonder what happened to the one game wonder who threw those 6 touchdowns (against one of the NFL's worst pass defenses ) that a lot of people got so excited about.
SBUffalo Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) To Matt Flynn's defense, he lost to two guys who play more to the new style of offense in the NFL. He really did nothing to "lose" these jobs, but he also didn't necessarily do a whole lot to win them. (He played very poorly against Chicago this preseason but Chicago's defense was crazy in that game). Edited September 3, 2013 by DStebb716
Big Turk Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Lol, dude has been handed the job twice only to play so badly he loses it in preseason...not a good sign
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 How much money has he made almost being the starter?
apuszczalowski Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Just another backup Qb that everyone falls in love with becausae of some success in a fill in spot. Kolb, Flynn, I'm going to guess Cousins will be the next one
Doc Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Yeah, he keeps losing out to younger guys with more upside. But don't feel bad for him. He'll have made ~$16.5M these past 2 years for doing little more than holding a clipboard.
chris heff Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Lol, dude has been handed the job twice only to play so badly he loses it in preseason...not a good sign Let me see, handed the QB job twice, loses it twice. Where have I heard that before?

Sounds just like a certain Jacksonville backup that beat the Ravens back in the 1990's...

Big Turk Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Matt Cassel, Daunte Culpepper, Jake Delhomme... Culpepper definitely does not qualify as he led some pretty good Viking teams before he tore up his knee including a 15-1 season with Randy Moss...
apuszczalowski Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 How can we forget Rob Johnson Matt Cassel, Daunte Culpepper, Jake Delhomme... I was just trying to stay within the last few years, butthose guys also continue to make the point.......
DC Grid Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 And the guy who started the whole craze...Scott Mitchell.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Remember how people were talking about how we should take flynn for a draft pick? maybe should offer one for him now to be a backup...or wait for him to be cut.
