BuffaloBill Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I'll be getting my flu shot soon. I'll take my chances with the known science vs the voodoo idiots.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 We finally live in a world in which very curable and treatable diseases aren't killing off mass groups of people, we live longer and healthier lives. Yet people have to be "cool" and subject themselves to those diseases? Stupid should hurt. In this case it will, a lot

ExiledInIllinois Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) Isn't there a vaccination injury compensation program? The fact is... Vaccinations WILL harm some people. Yes, the odds are low... 1 in 10,000, 50,000... I am not sure what they are. HERE is the kicker w/our society. Do you want to be the one that "hits the lottery?" God forbid, it would be awful if a child was harmed... How could people live w/that? I am playing devil's advocate here. I am not saying I would NOT take the chance with my child by not getting them vaccinated... But can I can see the argument and how we are taught to think of ourselves in society. The problem will only get worse. Nobody thinks of the "herd"... But they all want to be protected by the herd. Look @ the abysmal HPV rates for teen... Especially boys, which they now say they should get... All because people put off talking about sex... This is all gonna be a deep problem folks that will get uglier and uglier.
