Everyone's been talking about how much better Doug Whaley's going to be than his predecessors, but no one seems to be mentioning except in passing that one of the biggest front office blunders in modern Bills' history can be lain right at his feet.

This whole Jairus Byrd thing is on Whaley. He was the GM for two months before the deadline for being able to sign Byrd long-term expired and he pretty much didn't do a thing to reach out to Byrd and his agent.

So why has he gotten a pass?

That's a pretty big thing to overlook while declaring how good he's going to be or is.
