Kemp2Warlick Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia10m Projecting the Bills 53-man roster: Final cut http://bit.ly/14dvmmx
bisonbrigade Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) Disagree that Easley gets cut, I don't see all the love for Hogan slow white guy and Brad Smith costs to much for the production you get. Edited August 30, 2013 by bisonbrigade
Dean Cain Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) The media from Sal Capaccio to guys inside the organization like Chris Brown & John Murphy seem to be way too gung-ho when it comes to Hogan. Easley earned the #5 role. Edited August 30, 2013 by BigCountryBills

MikeSpeed Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Easily has had the best preseason of all the WR and has been an ace as a gunner on ST. Why would they cut him and save Hogan and Smith?
DanInUticaTampa Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I can't see them keeping brad smith. If his injury will keep him out for a few weeks, it will make even less sense to keep him. We already have Gilmore and Kolb that are injured and count against the roster, and possibly EJ and byrd. And somepoint, you can't have that many players that are injured counting against the roster. Someone has to go to IR eventually. I am not even sure if PUP is even an option at this point.
eball Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Pretty good list, but I also think Easley makes it over Hogan.
MOFO Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I think Easley has more than earned it...I was ready to cut bait with him...but he has been reliable...don't envy this part of the coaching job....
Chuck Schick Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Disagree that Easley gets cut, I don't see all the love for Hogan slow white guy and Brad Smith costs to much for the production you get. By "slow white guy". I'm guessing you just mean "white guy" as Hogan ran a 4.39 40. Glad you're not the GM or anybody with decision making powers.
Donald Duck Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Marcus Easley was the best Bills WR in preseason, without even looking he probably had more yardage then anyone, Yet Marcus Easley will get cut
BobChalmers Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Easley makes it over Smith - Hogan sticks too. Smith serves no purpose on this roster. Keep in mind Joe B was certain they were keeping Da'rick Rogers too, so...
stony Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Disagree that Easley gets cut, I don't see all the love for Hogan slow white guy and Brad Smith costs to much for the production you get. Who gets open and doesn't drop balls... This is what he brings to the table, is it better than what Easley provides? Tough question, but a good problem to have IMO.

DanInUticaTampa Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I think Hogan makes the roster. He is fairly reliable and would be good depth. With Hogan and Easley playing well, I can't justify them keeping smith.
jester43 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 just ask yourself....who, if he was cut, would you worry about getting signed by someone else and scoring against us? Easley or Smith? I say Easley. I personally think Brad Smith has been a waste of a roster spot since he got here.
The Wiz Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 just ask yourself....who, if he was cut, would you worry about getting signed by someone else and scoring against us? Easley or Smith? I say Easley. I personally think Brad Smith has been a waste of a roster spot since he got here. You mean the two passes he made last year that were both picked off was a bad thing?
ajzepp Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Easley had a drop or two last night, but on that one TD pass from Lewis he hit a top speed that I didn't know he had. He pulled away from that DB and took it to the house. I trust they'll make the best decision moving forward, but i'm sure rooting for the kid. Given how raw he was coming out of UConn, he's come a long way.
Dorkington Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I can see why Smith would stick with concerns at multiple positions. But Easley and Hogan have looked better as WRs. I kind of wish we'd drop the Fullback and keep Dickerson, as well. But I'm not sure if that fits our scheme.
artmalibu Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I think its a reasonable roster. The only possible differences is the WR position. I think Easly played so much in preseason is to see if he could stay healthy, and he did. So I think he has a shot.
