YoloinOhio Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Who cares haven't you heard Tuel is going to be our starting QB week one. We are screwed. Tuel will hand off to Spiller and Freddy the entire game. Hopefully the defense gives him a short field. Mission: Get Marcia.
zazie Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) He is off to handle personal situation with his grandfather, 'indefinitely', according to NFL.com. wow, Tuel and Freddy better come ready to play, if CJ is not there Edited August 27, 2013 by Beerball
CSBill Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 good! Keep him as far away from the field as you can on Thursday night. He'll be back for NE
Pilsner Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Family comes first. I hope his family situation is resolved soon and in a manner which brings peace of mind to his family.

Pirate Angel Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I hope he doesn't show up this week...couldn't understand why Marrone Kept playing him after he was banged up in the Redskins game. Spiller goes down we are in big trouble on offense.
ganesh Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Family comes first. I hope his family situation is resolved soon and in a manner which brings peace of mind to his family. And just goes to show how different is Marrone compared to an Andy Reid...Reid chose to go back to the football field coaching when his son passed away, a son who never got the time from his father who was busy coaching a professional team. Marrone understands what it means to have a life and fittingly speaks the same terminology to his players...Kudos to Doug!

ganesh Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Everyone deals with death in there own way. There is no right or wrong way. I understand..However when your family is grieving and needs your support (When you are the head of the family) you don't run away to a football field.
zazie Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 And just goes to show how different is Marrone compared to an Andy Reid...Reid chose to go back to the football field coaching when his son passed away, a son who never got the time from his father who was busy coaching a professional team. Marrone understands what it means to have a life and fittingly speaks the same terminology to his players...Kudos to Doug! as opposed to a son who never saw his father because he was working a long haul truck or mining or construction? Reid's kid almost certainly had depression or some other mental illness but in any event, not seeing your dad who provided everything else in spades, is slim excuse to off yourself. not to minimize his sad death, and Westside is right, some can deal with grief by throwing themselves into their work.
K D Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Good, didn't want him playing thurs anyhow. Every time he runs the ball in the preseason I hold my breath. I think spending some time with his family will be good. He will come back energized and recharged for the Pats
CodeMonkey Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 He is off to handle personal situation with his grandfather, 'indefinitely', according to NFL.com. wow, Tuel and Freddy better come ready to play, if CJ is not there He wasn't going to play much Thursday night anyway. No way he misses the opener if he is healthy. Nothing to see here.
zazie Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 He wasn't going to play much Thursday night anyway. No way he misses the opener if he is healthy. Nothing to see here. so long as indefinitely does not extend into the second week of September, you are right,
NoSaint Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 so long as indefinitely does not extend into the second week of September, you are right, And it won't - so there's that.
CodeMonkey Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 so long as indefinitely does not extend into the second week of September, you are right, Unless I put my tin foil hat on and think that his knee injury is worse than reported and he will miss the first few games and Marrone is just messing with BellyCheat
YoloinOhio Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 CJ is doing the right thing and the only thing he could do. I am not sure what he would do if this occured during the regular season, but it didn't, and from a football perspective I am glad he won't be on the field Thursday. I also like how Marrone handled it - told him to go home and to let them know if he needed anything.
YoloinOhio Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Marrone said today that CJ will be back with the team on Sunday.
Braedenstearns Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 He will miss the last week of preseason due to family matters. http://m.buffalobills.com/s/showPage.do?siteId=107165&pageId=8570052&itemPos=3&itemUri=1439349777%2F618111391113153130109015308 As far as we know he is still going to play week 1.
Clippers of Nfl Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Great. Without Ej/Cj/Gilmore we would be the most boring team in football. Edit: We're probably still the most boring team in footbal. But I still like them. Edited August 27, 2013 by Clippers of Nfl
Hsp08 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Wow, here is the dirt on Spiller's absence: http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Football/NFL/2013/08/27/21078531.html
