TheKickIsGood Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 I created a guide to a great Bills weekend. Whether you're coming with friends or your significant other. This should be helpful. Give me a shout if you have questions. I'd post the whole thing here, but I'm limited on pics. There's a lot more pictures and info here: http://www.thekickisgood.com/?p=6381 So you want to come to Buffalo for a Bills Game? Good Choice! There’s one neighboring town has everything you need Nice Hotels Great Restaurants Multiple Watering Holes Lots of things to do The Best Wings in Buffalo A Grocery Store and a Mighty Taco And that is East Aurora, NY. East Aurora was the first home of the Buffalo Bills as it hosted the Bills Training Camps from 1960-1963. The Bills Locker Rooms were at what is now the East Aurora Middle School on Main Street and the team had to keep at least one football player on the roster that also knew how to drive a school bus, so he could haul the team to Knox Farm and back every day. True Story. And to this day, East Aurora remains the classic small American Town–full of interesting shops, bars, and restaurants. Where to stay: East Aurora has 2 very nice hotels: The Hampton Inn by Hilton. Clean, friendly, efficient, and affordably priced: You can book a room or get more info here. The Roycroft Inn: The Roycroft Inn was once the Centerpiece of the Roycroft Arts & Crafts Movement led by Elbert Hubbard. Some even say it is haunted. I’ve heard some stories and I kind of believe them–so if you’re bringing your significant other and looking for a historic, beautiful, quirky hotel–go for it! - See more at: http://www.thekickisgood.com/?p=6381
yungmack Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Very nicely done though it seems more like a guide to East Aurora than Buffalo. Nothing wrong with that though. Home to one of only 44 presidents, home to Fisher Price and home to the only kazoo factory in the US, if not the world.
mead107 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 That is what you call a trip to east aurora. Not Buffalo. A very beautiful town. Wife and I visit every time we go out for games. You forgot to mention the breakfast place on main st. Also if anyone has little kids you have to go to fisher price to check out the specials.
