quinnearlysghost88 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 It's just our starting QB injured without a timetable, our second string QB with a career-threatening concussion, our three string undrafted rookie starting at QB, our number one DB out for 8 weeks, our new second string QB having never played a full season, both kickers being rookies and our franchise-tagged safety wanting a trade. It's actually not that bad.

Pneumonic Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 You forgot "the next Randy Moss" was also cut.
Dorkington Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 And neither of our RBs will make it through the season healthy.

People will react in their own way.
Nanker Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Rookie HC and young new staff. New rookie GM. We're BILLSFANONE!
BillsFanM.D. Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 other than that Mrs Linclon, how was the play?

It's actually not that bad. Or, starting QB could miss only one game, could have been worse. Third string QB could be better than second string. Have ONE rookie kicker that can kick from fifty yards plus, which means our second year punter won't be punting from the 32 indoors. The number one CB should only miss four or five games which means he could play in eleven or twelve. Our starting safety is back practicing and will play his a$$ off to prove he deserves a big contract. You can thank me for fixing this.

It's actually not that bad. 1- Manuel will miss week 1 at the most. Not worth freaking out about. 2. Kolb was not all that good anyway, I am kind of relieved that he won't be in the equation (Is Leinart really a worse backup option? they both failed at Arizona...) 3. Tuel will likely only start one game if that, against a team that would probably beat us anyway. 4. Gilmore out 8 weeks really sucks but we will have to count on other players to fill the void. 5. Rookie kickers - Actually the punter is a second year guy isn't he? Does it really matter that much? We will see. 6. How do you know Byrd wants a trade? I have seen the opposite reported...
dave mcbride Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 You forgot about the starting RBs grandfather going on a shooting spree. Ha. True.

It's actually not that bad. This actually does show how significant the rebuilding is... Not to be negative but realistically these changes suggest that this team will be significantly challenged especially early in the season. Best we might hope for is a split 4-4 through eight games with an uptick in performance and wins through the final eight games. History suggests that finishing above 500 with this much change on the roster will be unlikely.

Dr. K Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 This team is truly cursed. There is no chance in hell they will even compete with the Pats on Sept. 8.
