FluffHead Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 (edited) According to Tim Graham twitter @ByTimGraham: Source tells me Bills concerned Kevin Kolb's concussion may be career-ending and they're proceeding with that in mind. Edited August 25, 2013 by FluffHead
Coach Tuesday Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 The guy already had a storied injury history when they decided to keep him instead of Tavaris Jackson. Shows a complete lack of foresight.
BobChalmers Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 3rd concussion plus all the other injuries - it's sad but he should retire now.
Tiberius Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I feel sorry for the guy if he feels he stills needs to try and play, I mean he already has millions of dollars was risk being turned into a vegetable?
Fixxxer Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I'm not the biggest Kolb fan but that would suck for him.
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Looks like sadly I was right. The glass couldn't hold any longer.
eball Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 The guy already had a storied injury history when they decided to keep him instead of Tavaris Jackson. Shows a complete lack of foresight. And your post shows the lengths to which some will go to trash the organization. All jokes aside, terrible news for Kolb. He genuinely seemed enthused about playing in this offense and even though I wanted EJ to win the job Kolb would have been a good insurance policy.
Fixxxer Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 How severe is this concussion?? The guy took a vicious knee (it was accidental, though) to the back of his head, it looked bad.
eme123 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Its pretty safe to diagnose him w/ CTE right now.
jaybee Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Its hard for me to not feel bad for this kid. I've been supporting him all along. If his health is at risk I hope he retires. Really is a shame. Just bad luck, really. Could have happened to anyone. Happened to Bo Jackson and MAMY others. . Its just sad man. Hate to see a kid have his dreams crushed by untimely and unlucky injuries. All the best to you, Kevin Kolb.
CodeMonkey Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 (edited) How severe is ths concussion?? Concussions are cumulative. Doesn't matter how severe this one is. Sad to see this but I sure hope he retires if this is his third. Edited August 25, 2013 by CodeMonkey

eball Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Must... Defend... The... Faith.... You turn a post about the possible end of a guy's career into a platform to criticize the decision to keep him over the completely unimpressive Tarvaris Jackson. You're the transparent one here.

Drifter Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Remember how long it took Tim Connoly to come back from a concussion. Kolb would be smart to call it a career after a 3rd.
Corp000085 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Remember how long it took Tim Connoly to come back from a concussion. Kolb would be smart to call it a career after a 3rd. He's still coming back!

I agree with ya Tuesday. I would criticize this team if they signed Austin Collie as a receiver. Tjack has actually looked impressive this pre-season. I feel bad for Kolb but the reality is if you summed up his career with 2 adjectives it would be unimpressive and injury prone.
