San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 only on Wikipedia ..... "While in high school, Lewis was trained by the well known Floridian quarterback coach, Chris Fahr. Fahr trained Lewis, along with other standout American Football quarterbacks such as Matt Wilde, John Glazier, and Stephen Guenther" WHO? I've never heard of any of those "standout American Football quarterbacks." See. I think that speaks very well of Wiki to have a factoid like that. Those guys were probably highly-ranked high school QBs in that football factory known as Florida. I personally like more information than less information. College highlight clip...he's undersized, but appears to have pretty good movement skills. Fairly sturdy looking body and throws well on the run. Kinda looks like Steve McNair a bit. Also, evidently he started one game for Cleveland in 2011. Went 22-32 204yds 1TD/1INT. Sounds like buffalo QB numbers to me! He did that against the number one ranked defense that year in the Steelers.
fansince88 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 So, we just traded a guy we were going to cut for a guy we are going to cut...And it had made 4 full pages already. .Slow news day?
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Why don't we just forfeit the Lions game. Would that drive Belicheat crazy?
DanInUticaTampa Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Why don't we just forfeit the Lions game. Would that drive Belicheat crazy? Lol *pops in game tape "how the hell do I gameplan for THAT?"
Formerly Allan in MD Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Please answer my prayers! Big of you.
BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Why don't we just forfeit the Lions game. Would that drive Belicheat crazy? Think The Pats are really worried about the Bils right now ?
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Think The Pats are really worried about the Bils right now ? OUCH! Touche! Lol *pops in game tape "how the hell do I gameplan for THAT?" LoL... The whole tape can be panning through the drunk crowd. We can still hold the game. Just don't play... ;-) We'd be the only team to forfeit to gain a tactical advantage! :-)
bowery4 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 In hindsight that exemption lasting through the first week of the season would've been really nice right now - and that's nothing to do with Byrd. The extra week to figure out injuries/ability before activating Byrd the day before the game could've been nice I agree but doubt Byrd would have liked not getting coin for game 1 (almost 1/2 a million). New guy looks like a typical but good college QB, and Jboys is right fast release. I like that he has athletic abilities, we'll see.
ajzepp Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Fairly sturdy looking body and throws well on the run. Kinda looks like Steve McNair a bit. That's exactly what I thought, as well. McNair threw a much nicer ball based on this highlight tape, but this kid seems to be VERY active and can threaten in several ways. Who knows, maybe he's got the raw materials that Hackett and the boys can shape and mold into a solid player for us.
reddogblitz Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I hope he gets in Thursday. He looks good on that TD vs Pitt. And he can run. Work in some running plays. I put the odds at 50/50 he starts vs Patsies. Unless EJ is healthy of course. Then he's number 2 on the depth chart.
mousetrap08 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 What do you offer the lions for a re-tread QB who was likely to be cut by the lions, and likely to be cut by the Bills? I get we need arms right now, but I am curious what we offered. Even a 7th round pick seems excessive! Chris White was traded for him.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Tim Graham says he hears Kolb's injury might be career-ending. Seems a little classless to be cheering something like that. My thoughts exactly. I would never cheer and celebrate a players potential career ending injury. CBF
microscopes Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Still no. Leinart is our vet backup now. Jackson still is a bad QB Lol Leinart is a bad QB too. Worse than Jackson as a matter of fact. LOL love how people are analyzing his game tape. The guy is as good as cut.
papazoid Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Lewis will wear number 9 http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/08/26/lewis-jersey-number/
HamSandwhich Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 The same personnel evaluators that thought Kolb was a good investment? But what are ya gonna do? You have to believe that Kolb was an aberration. I think this would hold more weight if Kolb was horrible as a starter in the regular season. We knew he was injury prone, but that doesn't mean he would definetly be injured here. This is not a slight on the front office's choices, it was an injury that could end his career. They took a flyer that was risky because of his injury past, but they may have thought our offensive line could keep him clean and he would excel. Didn't work out, happens, move on. Lets see how they do during the season before we judge what we think of this staff.
Lurker Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Lol Leinart is a bad QB too. Worse than Jackson as a matter of fact. LOL love how people are analyzing his game tape. The guy is as good as cut ignored.
Luxy312 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Man why did they get rid of T Jack ? Because he stinks and was over paid? Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right answer.
Andre Speed Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Dammit! I had an old Poz #51 jersey I was going to put White's name on. Maybe Leinert will wear 51? PTR There's a perfect one-"word" solution bro.... BUTKUS. 'nuf sed? ~AS
