marauderswr80 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 What do we do if he throws for 300 with 3 TDs next game? QB controversy!!!
Peter Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 What do we do if he throws for 300 with 3 TDs next game? QB controversy!!! Be happy?
Mark Vader Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Between Leinart and Kolb, the Bills are collecting rejects from Arizona. For some reason that does not inspire confidence. Too bad Arizona isn't rejecting Larry Fitzgerald.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 F5 Still would have preferred Charlie Batch.
billsfan_34 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 So Kolb is very very fragile. I know he took a knee to the head causing injury, but no matter what he can't stay healthy. We carry 3 Qb's this season, it will be EJ, glassman Kolb n Tuel. Leinart wont stick with this team unless Kolb retires! He is a warm body for the moment that is all......I hope, god help us! Possibly but i think Kolb is the odd man out. Hes too much of a liability
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 We nailed the 06 draft. Sure we lost #9 overall but now we have #1 and #10 now. We cut #3. Anyone think we can trade byrd for Bush? I think we go with Cutler next year! ;-)

KD in CA Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Although I am probably in the minority, I do not mind the Leinart signing at all under the circumstances. It cost us nothing in terms of picks. Admittedly, when I saw him play in person at the Orange Bowl (as well as other games on TV), I thought he was going to have a good NFL career. To date, he has not. Perhaps, after being humbled and with the help of our coaching staff, he will be a capable QB in EJ's absence. We have nothing to lose, and (again) he cost us nothing. I understand that people aren't going to pass up the chance for an easy joke, but I agree. Leinart is probably no worse than Kolb anyway, and from what people are saying, it sounds like Kolb may be on IR come week 1. Obvoiusly you need a QB on the team that has actually played in the league before in case EJ isn't ready to go or is injured again. I'm all ears if someone has a different suggestion (and please STFU Tavaris Jackson lovers), but I don't see anyone better on the unemployed list.
Captain Hindsight Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I blame the fans. Will everyone clamoring for Skelton, the Bills did their best to appease. F5 Still would have preferred Charlie Batch. He's what 55 now?
PromoTheRobot Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Well I know some people here wanted to draft Leinert. We got him anyway. PTR
Dragonborn10 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 If EJ is healthy for week 1 and Leinart looks ok in practice I think they will cut Kolb. Tuel was awful enough to get cut and still be on the practice squad. Though trading for a QB from the Lions makes me think Tuel may not even be in their PS plans. Pretty sure Leinart has been around long enough to guarantee his salary if he is on the week one roster.
beerme1 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I'm excited. Matt is a handsome young man. To each their own. I'm more concerned if he has a hot wife!
boyst Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 To each their own. I'm more concerned if he has a hot wife! his baby momma is hot. I want Cutlers wife and Brady Quinn wife at the same time.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 He's what 55 now? Who cares? Better performance in spot duty than anyone else out there right now. People loved 38 year old Doug Flutie as a starter, but 38 year old Charlie Batch as a backup / mentor is a bad idea?
Buffalo Barbarian Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 OK we're good now! Championship!! didn't he have a good game last year before he got hurt?

RuntheDamnBall Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Did you watch Batch Last year? Yes. Bad game against Cleveland, pretty darned good game against the eventual champions. Do you expect more from a backup?
