mrags Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Just curious why I haven't seen this anywhere. I heard that he was going to have an MRI tomorrow. Still have no idea what even happened to him. Anyone have any info on this? And why the hell are we talking about Matt Leinart as a 3rd QB taking reps in most likely the last few weeks of preseason until we're all healthy in week 1 instead of key starters that are out?
Numark Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 This is the only thing I care about that happened today. I take little note of them sucking, but losing our best CB would be terrible
Big C Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 The injury didn't seem too critical, otherwise I assume more would have been said of it already.
White Linen Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 You're right it hasn't been talked about but I bet most of us are thinking about it. It's the most important thing that happened today. Apparently you guys didn't get the memo. I've been asked by our people to have you close this thread please. Why?
Chandler#81 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 MRI on his wrist tomorrow morning.-per NFLN.
Matt in KC Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 C'mon, DBs don't need wrists! Just tape it up. He'll be fine; he can club down the ball if he has to!
Big C Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 C'mon, DBs don't need wrists! Just tape it up. He'll be fine; he can club down the ball if he has to! Well he's not going to catch it, that's for sure!
Just Jack Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I've been asked by our people to have you close this thread please. Who told you that?
26CornerBlitz Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I agree ..what is the Gilmour status? Doug Gilmour retired many years ago.
YoloinOhio Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Well he's not going to catch it, that's for sure! If he could catch, he would be a WR. JK - I think it took him off guard how it was thrown right to him! His coverage though - flawless.

It was the first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning. If he's out for an extended period of time, it could get ugly early. Other than ej, he's our monst important player IMO. I don't really care about how we played yesterday, but the a serious injury to gilmore would cripple our defense.
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Gilmore can't catch anyway so he can play with a hurt hand.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Gilmore can't catch anyway so he can play with a hurt hand. Time for him to get some illegal Fredc Bilitnekof stickem for his hands/gloves......
chris heff Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Gilmore can't catch anyway so he can play with a hurt hand. Gilmore is a big strong corner, an important part of his game is disrupting WR route before it starts. He needs his hands to do this. I'd really like to know what is going on with Gilmore, Manuel and Kolb. We are thin at corner, losing Gilmore for an extended period of time would be bad and are we really looking at Tuel starting against New England?

People forgot about him in the first two preseason games because he seemed invisible--but that's because he was blanketing his receiver and they were never throwing his way. I'm not sure I'd list him as our most important player, ex-Manuel--I think CJ, SJ and possibly Mario fill that role ahead of him, but he's darn close and we've really got no one behind him. I'll feel a whole lot better if someone can tell us soon that he won't miss any time....

Our current #2s are having difficulties covering #2-6 WRs. I could Cj being more important because he's a game breaker, but I like our depth at rb, WR and DL more so than at CB, hence why I honk he's the most important. Especially in a blitzing defense. I think our cbs would get scorched

I think we have 1 on the cusp of elite, 1 on the potential side of solid then 3 adequate (Brooks, McKelvin and Robey)

Rogers' roster spot. I don't think he's looked nearly good as Brooks though, who is still getting much better, essentially going into his rookie year.
vincec Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 C'mon, DBs don't need wrists! Just tape it up. He'll be fine; he can club down the ball if he has to! Exactly. You don't run on your hands do you? I think we have 1 on the cusp of elite, 1 on the potential side of solid then 3 adequate (Brooks, McKelvin and Robey) I think that you are vastly overestimating the talent in the secondary. I would say that the Bills have 1 average starting NFL corner (Gilmore) and the rest of the CB candidates are below average to poor.
