BillsFanM.D. Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Musical preference has nothing to do with how bright you are. I was never in to them. Fair enough....but preference also has nothing to do with being 'overrated.' Talent and listener preference are not mutually inclusive.
Chef Jim Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Fair enough....but preference also has nothing to do with being 'overrated.' Talent and listener preference are not mutually inclusive. Sure it does. I'm not crazy about their music. I also think Freddie Mercury's stage presence is contrived and their music is sappy. That's my opinion and because of that my opinion is they are overrated.

Talent and listener preference are not mutually inclusive. Opinions are like backsides....we all have them etc. The variance occurs based on what one defines as talent. Having said that...I respect, but disagree with, your opinion.
Mike In Illinois Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) Not sure if this has been posted before (I just came across it about a week ago) but someone took Dolly Parton's version of "Jolene" and slowed it down. Really gives it a haunting tone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzYHllLv_IE Edited August 26, 2013 by Mike In Illinois
Beerball Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 came across this this evening...what an incredible day back in '85 Now that's what I call redemption! I enjoyed that, thanks. Not sure if this has been posted before (I just came across it about a week ago) but someone took Dolly Parton's version of "Jolene" and slowed it down. Really gives it a haunting tone: I kinda like the sound, but that creeps me out & not in a haunting way.
