Prickly Pete
I think the fact that we have had 1 meaningful game in December in the last 13 years might have more to do with it Right, they blame the fans, when it's actually the bad product. PromoTheRobot
Right, they blame the fans, when it's actually the bad product. Blame or meeting what fans want? If people don't want to come to games in December, for whatever reason, why keep scheduling them? PTR
BillsFan-4-Ever
Like the NFL is going to make adjustments to keep December games out of Buffalo. Some machine does the scheduling based on (an interns) formula inputs. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/31/2013-opponents-determined-for-every-nfl-team/

BillsFan-4-Ever
If you want to see Buffalo in December that bad .... go to the Toronto "home" game Actually they do make the schedule based on requests of teams like the Bills. Got link or any facts? THE only request may be a Sunday or Monday night game - BUT the truth is after 13 seasons of no playoffs no primetime.... that's the reason. If the Bills were worried about fans freezing they should move the team. perenial losers ALL have trouble filling the stands in December.
KGUNBILLS
I can't help but laugh at BillsFan-4-ever member photo. The only one better is the Tebow/Brady family portrait. It will be awesome non the less to see the fish in the Ralph come December.

DanInUticaTampa
Trying to find an article but I have read that before I think it was actually Ralph that said it... and it was like 4-6 years ago, so it might not be easy to find

If the Bills were worried about fans freezing they should move the team. perenial losers ALL have trouble filling the stands in December. If you think that the schedule is created only by a formula created by an "intern" you have no idea how the nfl schedule is created. this is a really nice writeup via the new york times explaining the process. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/20/sports/nfl-schedule-makers-try-their-best-to-please-everybody.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 and if you don't want to read the whole thing, here so some quotes: he process gets serious in January, when teams submit lists of requests detailing stadium availability and preferences for scheduling order. This year, teams submitted more than 70 blocked-out dates for stadiums — the Jets and the Giants are both on the road in Week 3, for instance, because Bruce Springsteen will be performing at MetLife Stadium — and 100 requests, from the sublime to the ridiculous. Florida teams often ask not to play 1 p.m. games in September and October, believing it is more difficult to sell tickets in broiling heat; sometimes the same organization will submit different requests because coaches believe the heat provides a competitive advantage. Southern teams do not want to go north late in the season. Teams that struggle to sell tickets worry especially about their late-season schedule. There are requests not to play at home on certain holidays — the Jets and the Giants typically ask not to play home games during the Jewish High Holy Days. When the N.F.L. put the Jets at home on Rosh Hashana and the start of Yom Kippur in 2009, Katz heard about it from the team. And others. The Jets asked to host the Thanksgiving night game this year. Jonathan Payne, another member of the scheduling group, opened a folder with more requests. “No games against teams coming off their bye,” he read. I mean, if you don't know that teams put in requests for the schedule, then you really have no idea what goes into it because teams make a TON of requests. And if you read the article, teams are not the only ones making scheduling demands with the nfl.
Beerball
Do they really? I never heard that before. I thought Russ said he likes playing here in December? someone needs to dig out the post about scheduling inequities from a couple months ago. J Wawrow made this point in that thread. PromoTheRobot
Wrong. According to the 'GR sound vault link I attached, Brandon said only 60% of December games sold out during the glory years of the 1990s.... And that doesn't even include the games local businesses bought out to prevent a blackout. More than having a good team, a domed stadium would likely help attendance more.
