The Bills request to have fewer home games in december because its cold and tough to sell out....

I think the fact that we have had 1 meaningful game in December in the last 13 years might have more to do with it

Trying to find an article but I have read that before

I'll google it too. I'd be bummed if that is true. What a waste of a valuable resource.

Fans don't come to the games in December because the team is out of playoff contention by then. Not because of the weather.

If that's true, that's ridiculous. When was the last time we were in playoff contention until the end of the season? 2004?

I can't remember the exact year, other than it was sometime between 2000-2003 based on where my seats were, that I received a letter from the Bills, telling me to get my deposit in for playoff tickets. I don't recall getting any such letter since.

Do they really? I never heard that before. I thought Russ said he likes playing here in December?

He does. many fans complain about late season home games. During my prime we loved December games with 78000 in the stands. Jets in Dec '93. -2 temp;, -30 Wind chill. Of course I couldn't handle that today. I was much younger then!!

Just taking a closer look at the schedule and realized that with a late bye week, a game in Toronto and a road trip, we wont be in front of our home crowd for five weeks. Why does it always feel like we get the short of the scheduling stick.

Because we always look for things to cry about. Seriously, I remember people saying we got hosed last season having 3 December games at home. So which is it?

I have noticed this the past few years... their schedule is heavy with home games at he beginning of the season. I think that is what had led to them starting off well and then finishing poorlly. By contrast, San Diego's schedule is heavy with home games at the end of the year. They are known for a slow start and finishing well. I do think weather is a factor on how they schedule. I wish it wasn't, because one reason they didn;t want to put a dome on the Ralph was for the competitive advantage of the December weather.

That's not really true. Everyone has a different opinion, so obviously some will feel differently about December games than others.
