boyst Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Everything you say makes sense. Problem is people prefer to listen to dipchit media rumor mongers, since apparently it's more fun to listen to complete BS, than being happy one of the better Bills players has signed and seems happy to he's back on board with the team. BTW I heard from a "unnamed source" that EJ isn't happy and wants to be traded. I dare you to start a thread with that title. "Rumored: EJ Manuel unhappy with contract and looking for a trade." Double dog dare you!
PromoTheRobot Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Holding out the last month has been about next year not this year. It was a long term play. If a trade was priority number 1 he would've been pushing it in April You don't think this is Plan B?
boyst Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 You don't think this is Plan B? How could there have been Plan B. Everyone outside of half of this board knew and know what is going to happen this year... There was only "This."... not even a plan A.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Rumor: CJ Spiller wants to play for a Super Bowl franchise.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 This is one of the worst threads in history. It's pretty bad. People posting instead of reading through. Having to repeatedly post things that were clearly stated earlier in the thread. It's like a bad game of telephone, featuring a string of horrible reporters. Best post in a bad thread. The "media professionals" are all scrambling to cover their asses because they don't know what's going on. They're repeating each others' reports like message board posters repeating rumors.
Just Jack Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Rumor: CJ Spiller wants to play for a Super Bowl franchise. So did Smerlas, and we know how that turned out.
JPS Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 so 12 star players wouldnt be sitting at home today trying to get extensions. I have to believe they would play more tentatively....
ExWNYer Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 I heard a rumor that there have been rumors about Jairus Byrd but that's unsubstantiated...or so it's been rumored.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 So did Smerlas, and we know how that turned out. We are now hearing that it would be OK with CJ Spiller if that Super Bowl team were the Bills.

San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 http://tinyurl.com/mftw6gg espn You goofy !@#$. I knew what it was but I because it was you I had to play along anyways. You'd better learn how to embed links on the down low.

Just Jack Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 http://tinyurl.com/mftw6gg espn I think you got the link about Spiller and the new Dolphins uniforms mixed up.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Link? Sources deep within. What car do you drive?
Best Player Available Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 I dare you to start a thread with that title. "Rumored: EJ Manuel unhappy with contract and looking for a trade." Double dog dare you! It wouldn't be prudent. At this time.
bowery4 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 http://tinyurl.com/mftw6gg espn You can't cover it with that, I can smell it from here (and no I didn't).
WIDE LEFT Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Tim Graham took to twitter yesterday to comment on the fact that that the Bills wanted a 3 week exemption for Byrd so that they could sit (and not pay)him on opening day. Graham' s take was that it was his "sense" that the Bills wanted to sit Byrd on opening day not because he would not be ready, but just out of "spite". If you take this at face value, what Graham is suggesting is that Brandon, Whaley etc are lying when they say the organization is totally committed to winning/excellence, and would actually make a decision like this out of spite, even if it compromised Bills chances to beat the Pats. Of course, Graham offers no evidence or substance of any kind to support his "sense". It is, in fact, nonsense and a very cheap shot, totally unsupported by anything but his imagination. This is the quality of reporters we have covering the Bills. Yikes.

Just twitterdroids "thinking out loud" and people taking their pathetic bait. Hits are all that matter or their back to being fry cooks in a suburb somewhere.

Just twitterdroids "thinking out loud" and people taking their pathetic bait. Hits are all that matter or their back to being fry cooks in a suburb somewhere. The hard thing to believe is that anyone gets paid for that as part of their job, or that anyone who gets paid as a journalist thinks that that's part of their job. I know that sports is fun and that conjecture and speculation is part of the great fun of sports talk. But bring it up in that environment and be crystal clear about the nature of it. Bringing it up It can be too easy to be vague enough to "create" a story as opposed to reporting it. And that is definitely happening here, from where I sit.
