26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 BREAKING NEWS: #Buffalo #Bills LB Nigel Bradham charged with marijuana possession in Town of Tonawanda early Sat. http://bit.ly/19EJBbU Oh Spit!
Heitz Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 What are the marijuana laws in NYS?? Thank god they finally decriminalized it in VT. Bummer for Bradham, gotta watch that tint!!
Doc Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Actually, a first violation doesn't merit a suspension, right?
brucethomas34 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 If it makes him a better player i'm all for it! Just don't get caught idiot!
NoSaint Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 someone just had to go and make an "fsu players dont get arrested" post today.... just haaaaad to do it.
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 He should be addicted to prescription pills instead... At least then it will be more harmful for him and not illegal. Hah
boyst Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I'm cool. I'm cool. Anyone have directions to the empire state building? I'm nor worried. This is one instance and I think he is going to learn
section122 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 What are the marijuana laws in NYS?? Another one of these I shouldn't know but I do.... Less than an ounce (28 grams) is considered for personal use and decriminalized. My assumption is that this is what he had on him. The process is to receive an appearance ticket. Although it is considered to be an arrest there is no booking, fingerprinting, etc... It is akin to a speeding ticket. Not a big deal legally but this will put him on the nfls watch list. This will fall under the behavior clause that was discussed in the deadspin Von miller article. Next instance is 4 games for him now.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Actually, a first violation doesn't merit a suspension, right? I believe it does if its not alcohol related (ie, if its drug related).
section122 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Thank god they finally decriminalized it in VT. Bummer for Bradham, gotta watch that tint!! It's decriminalized in ny too. That still doesn't make it legal. As for the tint that's just an excuse to pull someone over at 2 am. See if they're drunk or not or in this case see if they've got drugs.
swnybillsfan Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 my opinion on pot doesn't matter right now. the only thing that matters is that is illegal and against nfl policy. well, actually the only thing that matters is that it's against nfl policy...so don't @#$#@$ do it while you are under contract in the nfl.
Dragonborn10 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Good we need more guys with records! My concern is WTF was he doing in Tonawanda?
Ramblin' Rob Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 This sucks for him. An unjust law that makes a criminal out of an otherwise law abiding citizen. Hope it is a first offense. Legally he is fine, nothing more than a parking ticket.
