Storm Front
I can't think of any real big kicks he ever missed. The dude was Mr. Clutch for a good decade. Thanks for being a bright spot on many dismal Sundays.
BringBackFergy
We had to free up some money somehow to sign Aaron Maybin. I think you meant Aaron Corp(se)
Miyagi-Do Karate
It's a nice gesture that they released him now so he'll likely be able to catch on with another club. And if it doesn't happen right away, he won't be out of work for very long. Â Agreed. Â Much more classy than, say, cutting your all-time great punter 5 games into the season. Kirby Jackson
Had a great career as a Buffalo Bill. He was accurate and reliable. As he got older he lost some of his power and became expendable. The day that they were afraid to attempt the 48 yarder was the day that the writing was on the wall. I wish him the best of luck and hopefully he catches on somewhere. MDH
Hopkins has the leg but I hope he has the accuracy too. Lindell didn't have much of a range but he was almost automatic from inside 45. Hopefully we'll get more of the same but with a bigger leg and more touchbacks (without wasting a roster spot on a "kickoff specialist.)

eball
I think most of us saw this coming, and after Stahovich was released last week I predicted the Lindell cut would happen this week. Classy move by the Bills that allows Rian an opportunity to catch on with another team before the regular season. Â I can only think of a couple of kicks Lindell missed over the years that stung -- the "gimme" against the Steelers on that fateful day when we couldn't beat their 3rd stringers to get into the playoffs, and the Monday nighter at home against Cleveland several years back. Â Other than that, Rian was money -- particularly inside the 40. He's a consummate professional and has been one of the few bright spots on this roster for the past decade. Â Best of luck to him! CircleTheWagon25
To everyone saying they can't remember a big kick he didn't make, there was a prime time game against Cleveland a few years back where we had a chance to win at the end, and he totally muffed it. I remember sitting in the stands wanting him cut after that game.

Bufcomments
Expected since Hopkins was drafted. Good Luck Rian Lindell. Yep  The writing was on the wall when they drafted Hopkins.  But Lindell did a great job on some bad teams. He will prolly get another job so good luck to him. boyst
Good luck to Rian. He was one of the best Bills we have had in a long time. There was not much worry when it game to clutch with him.
The Wiz
Well there goes our leading point getter for the past decade (I'm joking but it could be true). Good luck Rian.
nucci
A piece of the team that has been taken for granted for years. The most reliable kicker in team history. I am a big fan of Lindell but I think Christie may have been a little better.
