stevestojan Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Several beers deep, and watching A Town, A Team, A Dream. Gone too soon. That is all.
Rubes Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 You got that right, man. I'd love to hear what he would think of EJ and Marrone.
bills44 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Can't believe that it's been 5 years already. He was truly one of Buffalo's best ambassadors, and he wore his Buffalo roots like a badge of honor.
Peter Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Me too. I had the opportunity to meet him a few times. Great guy. Great Buffalonian.
BillsPride12 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 We've lost alot of great ones over the last few years...Tim, Larry Felser, Allen Wilson. So sad
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 We've lost alot of great ones over the last few years...Tim, Larry Felser, Allen Wilson. So sad Also, Paul Szymanski.
mitchmurraydowntown Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Where have all the good ones gone? This is really sad.
JoeF Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Luke is carrying the banner on for his Dad. A great young man who while he never lived in Buffalo understands our soul.
Mark Vader Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Tim Russert was one of those rare journalists that was a no-nonsense type of person. Asked tough questions and let no one off the hook. He never cowtowed to any idealogue and always went for straight answers. His replacement, David Gregory, is an absolute disgrace to Meet The Press, and a complete joke compared to Russert.
Steve O Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Luke is carrying the banner on for his Dad. A great young man who while he never lived in Buffalo understands our soul. Tim named Luke after a Buffalo Bisons great http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_Easter_(baseball) "Easter continued to play professionally at AAA, even though the leg injuries had reduced his running speed to a limp. He played regularly for the Ottawa Athletics, Charleston Senators, Buffalo Bisons and Rochester Red Wings, and won the International League's MVP award with the Bisons in 1957. He ultimately retired as a player in 1963, at the age of 48, and worked for several years thereafter as a coach. His number (36) was retired by the Rochester Red Wings and number (25) by the Buffalo Bisons."
birdog1960 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) "Meet the Press" has gone from my favorite show to automatically being deleted from my dvr. Heart on his sleeve. Honest. Just like most Buffalonians... very good traits. Edited August 19, 2013 by birdog1960
CowgirlsFan Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) I feel I let Bills Nation down. This was the first year I failed to post the thread on June 13 to honor him. He'd be even prouder of the progress the Bills are now making. Edited August 19, 2013 by CowgirlsFan
respk Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I to would like to hear what Tim Russert had to say about the Bills and also about our current political climate. Rest assured it would have been fair to all sides and straight to the point. Unlike the two guys that took his place.

I can't watch it anymore, there's nothing there anymore to watch that I'll relate too.
