The Poojer Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 and i know its irrelevant now, but didn't dixon get that time out awarded before his player touched the ball? that would have put the ball under the basket...i know he was trying to call it before the player got to half court and he still hadn't touched it....and then the pass inbounds was almost 6 seconds to be thrown in and add the time before someone touched it...oh well
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Gritty win. This is the only way to beat Pitt. Beat each other up and survive. If cooney gave us more offense, could have been a different game. Refs really let everyone play; just a ton of contact in the paint. grant gets fouled every time he takes the ball to the rim, yet gets no calls.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Just watched the game. Had to DVR it because I took my boy to the monster truck show in Albany. All I can say is, wow. Tyler Ennis. He seems unworldly. I have never seen a freshman with such poise...such command of the game. Sure there are more talented freshmen in the NCAA's, but give me one that has had a greater impact on his team. Don't worry, I'll wait. Ennis is the man, and the world is his honey pot. Good teams win tough, scrappy games. We did that tonight versus a very good Pittsburgh team. Big win.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Read a good comparison of Ennis: Isaiah Thomas. by the way, getting worried with all the minutes these guys are playing, including Ennis. Need to get gbinije and Roberson some more minutes. Obviously, Coleman too -- but who knows what is going on there?

I actually think he reminds me most of Doc Rivers...mostly because of his demeanor and "floor general" ability. Love how Doris Burke kept pointing out that the last 10 minutes of the shot clock are his. He just takes control. That pick and roll to Grant in the 2nd half was a thing of beauty.
inkman Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I think it's becoming more and more apparent that both Ennis and Grant are gone after this season. Maybe one will surprise and stay but if they keep trending up like they currently are, what would be the point. Thankfully, the cupboards won't be completely bare with McCullough and Joseph coming in to join this years other frosh (Patterson, Roberson & Johnson) with Cooney, Christmas & Coleman. Not a contender without Grant or Ennis but they should be competitive.

I know JB would never do it, but significant PT this year for guys like Patterson and Coleman will help us better deal with the loss of grant and Ennis. I still have hope for Ennis coming back though; I think when draft season comes, a lot of scouts will not be as enamored due to his lack of athleticism (even though he is going to make a great pro).

I wondered if Roberson's extra minutes in the few games leading up to Pitt wasn't because of Boheim's acknowledgement that he might have an inkling to the future of those two. Maybe the frosh can get minutes against the ACC scrubs like Duke...I keed.

The Poojer Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 yeah...i am 'advising' them on setting a price at $1000/per with excellent parking included...i told them the price has to leave them with zero indecision...pretty sure that would satisfy that

The Poojer Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 in all seriousness if you faced the sitch...where would you set a price? I am looking for a serious answer....me personally? i'd be at the game, no doubt about it Insanity!!!!

I am looking for a serious answer....me personally? i'd be at the game, no doubt about it If I wanted to move them quickly, I'd price them around 650-700. You still have time though. Start high. Those are prime seats, and you're bound to find someone willing to pay your asking price. Hell, if I were a single guy without kids, I think you and I could make a deal.
The Poojer Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 That's what I told my folks...don't make the selling price something to think about...they don't need to sell them...but for that kind of $$ they'd be crazy not to If I wanted to move them quickly, I'd price them around 650-700. Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I just can't believe the market is so high for those tiks. But sounds like it is. If I had tiks, I would sell-- no brainier.
