Matt in KC
8 punts averaging <29 yards = unacceptable. I understand missing a kick; it happens. But wth is up with that!?

Ralonzo
Where's Moorman? Â I think he's trying out for the Steelers. Â As far as Powell, anyone remember Marv Bateman? Rockets and shanks, nothing in-between.
BUNCH OF MULARKEY
I still don't entirely understand why we cut Stahovich I don't either. He was solid last week. Not that it's as mystifying as chan hiding Tavares in a bunker last year... But it makes ya go hmmmm... Â

Green Lightning
Powell was pathetic. Shanks, line drives directly to the returner and no ability to pin the opponent deep. Contrast that performance with the Vike's rookie punter and it's time to move on.
vincec
Thought it was two - tough listening on the radio - either way, one per game is too much, which is what he seems to average. It was actually three. The first off the side of his foot for 19 yards and then the next two into the end zone when he was trying to put them down inside the 20. Three terrible punts. l< j
Well, we all said that we couldn't wait for a Bills team where the punter wasn't the best player. And here we are.
Miyagi-Do Karate
Inconsistent, as in booming punts into the EZ from the opponent's 45-yard line, and kicking 35-yarders from our own 20. Â Better than Powell. You can't kick 15-yard punts every game, in ideal weather conditions. Â Leaving moorman out of this, Powell is disconcerting. KD in CA
So how's everyone feeling about Powell today? Â 9 punts; 46 y/a, 3 inside the 20 (could have been 4 but covermen were fooled by the fake fair catch).

9 punts; 46 y/a, 3 inside the 20 (could have been 4 but covermen were fooled by the fake fair catch). Powell had a solid game. The ST was a strength, except for Goodwin's injury.  9 punts; 46 y/a, 3 inside the 20 (could have been 4 but covermen were fooled by the fake fair catch). He did very well indeed. One other punt was inches away from being perfect, hopping right over the pylon.

Tu-Toned
Powell will be fine... Directional punting (never in my life have unseen so much writing about directional punts) is the most difficult kick for a punter... Sure he's a pro... But he has a big leg, and as long as he works on those directional chumpies in practice until he masters them, lets hope he sticks to the short back spin deals we saw from him last year.... I think his average was around 45 yards or so, he boomed a couple, actually out kicked the coverage, Not too worried, he eventually maybe our only pro bowler for a while!
