San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I'm sure I'm gonna get flamed for this, but didn't EJ do the same thing? Cam Newton(notes) 8 17 112 47.1 6.6 0 0 0 0 68.8 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/boxscore?gid=20130815021'>http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/boxscore?gid=20130815021 EJ Manuel(notes) 16 21 107 76.2 5.1 0 0 1 0 102.7 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/boxscore?gid=20130815021 Yeah good call. The rookie in his NFL debut did the same thing as the 3rd year pro. :wallbash: :wallbash:
eball Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Highest rated passers during 2012 preseason: 1) Ryan Perrilloux 2) Jerrod Johnson 3) Byron Leftwich 4) Richard Bartel 5) John Beck Just sayin'... The surprise bad team this year, and I mean real bad: the Pittsburgh Steelers. You are very, very wrong.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I thought the Bears O-line looked decent. Fluker and Long both seemed to have some solid run blocking. Forte really doesn't need much anyways.
nucci Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I thinks Browns will be decent....same with Bears but agree that Chargers could be real bad.
Beerball Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Uh Browns look damn for real. Weeden is going to be a good one. Way too early to say, but, he's looking much more comfortable. Dropped one over his WR's shoulder on the left sideline that couldn't have been thrown better. Living In Philly right now. everyone makes a big deal about the new chip kelly offense, but while fast, I think the Bills are faster. Fast don't mean jackdiddlysquatshit! Effective means something. (not a slam against you or anyone else, but fast isn't the importantest thing to look at) Cam Newton(notes) 8 17 112 47.1 6.6 0 0 0 0 68.8 http://sports.yahoo....gid=20130815021 EJ Manuel(notes) 16 21 107 76.2 5.1 0 0 1 0 102.7 http://sports.yahoo....gid=20130815021 Yeah good call. San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Way to overreact. Was it the bold lettering, the capitalizations, or the name calling?
dollars 2 donuts Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) You are very, very wrong. eball I think the are an old team, getting older regardless of some nice prospects and they play in a tough division that is only getting tougher. Hey, if I am wrong then I don't mind it. I like the Steelers. Edited August 16, 2013 by dollars 2 donuts
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I truly believe the Chargers will be a bottom 4 team this year. Even before taking a glance at them during yesterday's preseason game, they just seem destined for failure. After watching them live...wow...they look even worse than I could have imagined. The Chargers, Raiders, Rams and Jaguars will be fighting it out all season for the right to draft Clowney #1 overall methinks.
eball Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Brownies are getting a lot of the preseason love the Bills received last year. Lots of folks predicting a big step up for that team.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I've got my fingers crossed the Browns have a good season. Their fans definitely deserve it.
HeHateMe Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I thought the Bears O-line looked decent. Fluker and Long both seemed to have some solid run blocking. Forte really doesn't need much anyways. I missed the 1st quarter but from when I starting watching this ^ is what I noticed too, Long looked like a beast...
eball Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I agree the Steelers will be bad this year. I predicted the Steelers would not be very good last year, and that proved to be true. However, I believe the way they finished the season has motivated Big Ben, and the influx of young talent on the defensive side of the ball has me thinking they will at least compete for a wild card -- if not the division title.
jumbalaya Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 That was the other thing I was gonna say. Weeden is actually looking competent so far. I know it's all only preseason, but that has surprised me a bit. Only thing about Weeden is that he will be old enough to retire in two years
Beerball Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Was it the bold lettering, the capitalizations, or the name calling? The 77 head bangs.
Tsaikotic Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) The browns will be a good team, because they have two extremely talented and experienced Coordinators running their program. Norv knows how to get produciton out of Trent Richardson and keep his QB upright. Horton can call a red-hot 3-4 defense. ..lol..maybe it wasn't me you wanted to respond to, not sure... quinnearlysghost88 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 There should be a montage of Cam Newton throwing a bad ball and then laughing. He did it constantly yesterday.
Tsaikotic Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Why you got to be putting words in my sandwich? he said slow your role...but i only see sliced bread..
Florida_BillsFan Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Watching the Fins-Jags replay while I work today - and man the Dolphins look really bad on offense. No protection from the O-Line and Tannehill running for his life. I can see Pettine's Defense really steamrolling the Fins !
BuffOrange Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I think Detroit is just going to be terrible this year. About the only good player they have on defense is Suh. And Calvin Johnson wasn't playing tonight. They're not much different than the team that made the playoffs 2yrs ago. They were terrible in close games last year. I think they'll be better than the Vikings this year.
