RuntheDamnBall Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 https://twitter.com/Dajones19 I feel bad for ever berating the guy. He definitely gave it his all. Hope he's OK.
boyst Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 I feel bad for ever berating the guy. He definitely gave it his all. Hope he's OK. What would have to happen to Fitz to make you feel bad?
The Big Cat Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 He should charge his phone more often. I hope that his brief stint as a professional athlete at least gives him some of the resources he'll need to beat this thing and have a happy, fulfilling life. /onlinehero
Never NEVER Give-up Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Sad news. He deserved better. Here's hoping he lives very well despite the illness!
Kirby Jackson Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I wasn't a fan of his as a player but he seems like a good, hard-working guy. I wish him nothing but the best in his battle with this disease.
buffalobillsfansince1918 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I cut him from my keeper league team 3 days ago. Too bad I always thought he'd be good
vincec Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 It's too bad. I still believe that he could've been a big time player under different circumstances.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I never got his detractors. Thought he was really starting to come into his own. without that one high ankle sprain, he could have really blossomed.
NoSaint Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I never got his detractors. Thought he was really starting to come into his own. without that one high ankle sprain, he could have really blossomed. I guess were on opposite sides of the coin here - never got his fans. He was forced into a role where he HAD to have some production just by being on the field, but never saw him show much that was special
Dorkington Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Damn, sucks for him. I liked him. Wish him best of luck.
Chandler#81 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I never got his detractors. Thought he was really starting to come into his own. without that one high ankle sprain, he could have really blossomed. I'm in this camp. He showed me enough in very brief outings to believe he could become a very good WR. I was nervous when the Pats* signed him quick to a lengthy contract as we all know what they have at QB. As an aside, I'm excited that the Patriots lost ANOTHER receiver!! Woo-hooooo! Best wishes for a long, happy life, Donald.
BillsFanM.D. Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Football is secondary. He made a good choice. He was also blessed to be a professional athlete for a short period of time. I hope all goes well for him.
bigK14094 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Didn't understand when the Pats cut him.....now I do. They could not release the information publically.
buffalover4life Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) We will never know if he didn't breakout because of our QB situation. link Edited August 8, 2013 by buffalover4life
8-8 Forever? Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 wow. I liked him ... great story of awesome ST player becomes starter and tears it up for awhile. he can tell his kids about it. most never even get the chance he got. all good. he needs to work on health now..
Jerry Jabber Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 That stinks. Good special teams player for the Bills. I hope he gets better.
DC Tom Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 During his visit with the Colts late last month, while running on the treadmill for a stress test, Jones' blood pressure reached 250 over 110, he said Holy ****.
26TrapDraw Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 What would have to happen to Fitz to make you feel bad? He led Tennessee to a Super Bowl
