mitchmurraydowntown Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Who starts at QB for our first pre-season game ??
K-9 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Why not EJ? Given the reports of their respective performances at camp to date, starting Manuel wouldn't be an issue of credibility in the locker room I would think. The sooner he makes that huddle his, the better. GO BILLS!!!
mitchmurraydowntown Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 EJ makes more sense because of his amount of snaps but Kolb has seniority in experience & they might want to bring EJ along slowly to opposing teams that can sack him.
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) If EJ starts preseason game 1 he will be anointed starter by EVERYONE. If you don't realize this then welcome to the internet b.c you must be new. You cannot go backwards you must start Kolb at least the first preseason game. Edited August 6, 2013 by BuffaloFood
snamsnoops Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Unfortunately I voted Kolb. I do think EJ will be our starter week 1, but feel this coaching staff will bring him along somewhat slowly. Kolb is a VET and will be given the chance to start or lose his job. By the 3rd preseason game EJ will feel more comfortable going against live defenses and should prove he is the better QB. I hope anyways!
Nanker Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Whoever starts week 1 in the preseason will not start week 2.
Wayne Cubed Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I think it's Kolb and that's only because I think the Bills want to bring Manuel along slowly.
papazoid Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Pre-game#1- EJ (1st half), Tuel (2nd half), Kolb (out). Pre-game#2- Kolb (1st half), EJ (3rd qtr), Tuel (4th qtr). Pre-game#3- EJ(1st half), Kolb(2nd half), Tuel(out). Pre-game#4- EJ (1st qtr), Kolb (2nd qtr), Tuel(2nd half). Reg-game#1- EJ
Offside Number 76 Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 EJ should; Kolb will. Not sure why Tuel and Smith are choices.
Dorkington Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I want EJ. But I have a feeling Kolb will get the first reps when he comes back.
eball Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Kolb starts 1st preseason game; it's on the road and he's the veteran. EJ starts 2nd preseason game, at home. Decision is made on the starter at that point and winner (EJ) starts 3rd game.
mrags Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I hate you can't see who voted what. i know right. I want to know who the idiot is that voted for BS.
Lt. Dan's Revenge Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Pre-game#1- EJ (1st half), Tuel (2nd half), Kolb (out). Pre-game#2- Kolb (1st half), EJ (3rd qtr), Tuel (4th qtr). Pre-game#3- EJ(1st half), Kolb(2nd half), Tuel(out). Pre-game#4- EJ (1st qtr), Kolb (2nd qtr), Tuel(2nd half). Reg-game#1- EJ This.
Taro T Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Bills win coin toss. Brad Smith brings opening kickoff back for a TD. Marrone and Crossman reward him w/ a wildcat snap on extra point and he runs it in. Bills up 8-0.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Didn't Marrone say something about naming his starting QB by the final pre season game? If so, and Kolb is available, I think Kolb will at least start the 1st pre season game. EJ could take over any time there after, however, depending on how things shake out.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Reg-game#1- EJ Here is the one I care about. Start Tuel in preseason for all I care. EJ needs to be the guy if he is the Franchise QB I think/hope he is. I don't believe you can "throw a guy into the fire too fast". You're either a competitor or you're not. Only the marginal ones need to grow on the bench.

A certain guy in Green Bay would disagree with you.
