EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Yea I think that Sanders needs to be bumped. DaRick I have to believe is just to motivate him, he has mental mistakes but he is bar none the most talented wideout on this roster. Brad Smith is a joke if he makes the team I will be furious. Hoping that Gragg will move up as well. I think its fairly good besides that. I like having a veteran guy in the group. He has shown flashes of his potential at times but has been underutilized and bounced around. He looked sharp to me yesterday at SJFC and seems to have bulked up a little. Now that he has restructured his contracted, I would be shocked if he doesn't make the roster.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Mark Gaughan @gggaughan 19m Ex-Pro Bowler Kevin Mawae working w Bills OL as minority coaching intern. Pretty cool; wouldn't be surprised to see him as an oline coach down the road.
iommi Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I know this was linked in another thread. Definitely a good way to stay on top of the action. https://twitter.com/buffalobills/localmedia
Big C Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 So how good is Tuel and/or how bad is the secondary depth? Back-to-back TD drives featuring bombs to Goodwin and Rogers.
Dorkington Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 EJ struggling against first team defense, Tuel doing good against backup defense... kind of like when Kolb was struggling and EJ was doing good early in camp, hmm.
ajzepp Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 EJ just threw a pick six early on. He seems to be throwing a lot of INTs lately.
Dorkington Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 He seems to be throwing a lot of INTs lately. He's been playing against the first team defense more, lately.
mrags Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 So far from what I've seen. Tuel looks great. EJ not so much. Big bomb to Goodwin, Rogers, Easley. McLovin with an int for 6. Either the depth at defense is horrible or Tuel is really fighting for a job. Honestly, if he keeps this up, I'd rather have him than Kolb and that's no joke. He looks really good right now. Checking down, recognizing the blitz. Knowing when to chuck it deep. Pleasantly surprised. EJ warming up now. Another 3 and our for EJ. Couldn't handle the pressure. I'll try and give you guys up to the min here but on my phone. It's gonna be tough. Hang in there EJ on first down. Incomplete to the left QB keeper for 3 yards. Handoff up the middle for no gain. Backup RB
ajzepp Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 He's been playing against the first team defense more, lately. So EJ is facing the 1st string D and Tuel is going against the backups? Every time I refresh Twitter Tuel has another long completion...he just hit the chubby guy with the Bills hat on in the back of the endzone apparently. Tuel > Brady
SBUffalo Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) Go ahead and say what you will about EJ not looking good, but he's only made one pass this entire scrimmage. Sure, that pass had the WORST POSSIBLE result, but it's still one throw. So don't act like you're doing any scouting here. He made a bad pass and then hasn't touched the field since. Unless you're digging really deep to dissect his handoffs. Edited August 5, 2013 by DStebb716
mrags Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Punt team out there now. McKelvin to return. Fair catch. Punt almost blocked.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Can't handle the pressure: Is the o-line being outplayed or is EJ getting them in the wrong protections? Any insight?
mrags Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 EJ back in again. Roll to the right and throw to 43 for about 7 yards. Run to the left. Loss of yards.

Could he have read a blitz and audibled out of one of those runs, for instance?
mrags Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) Almost another int by EJ. Tried to sneak it in that too tight. EJ looks hurried. Like he's not comfortable ATM. Edited August 5, 2013 by mrags
Dorkington Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Sounds like it's 1st team D playing mostly 2nd string offense with EJ at QB.
Big C Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Almost another int by EJ. Tried to sneak it in that too tight. EJ looks hurried. Lol he's not comfortable ATM. He is playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers on the line vs. first team defense, to be fair.
mrags Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Roll to the right by EJ throw for a 1st Then a reverse by woods. No gain it looks.
