3rdnlng Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Then, there's this white lunch bag. Since when is "douche" spelled "lunch"?
BillsFanM.D. Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 You will hear things like: "Did you bring your sack"? "What's in your sack"? "I wonder what's in his sack?" "Somebody forgot their sack" "That sack is too big for her" "I had 3 sacks in my car, and they broke and got everywhere. What a mess!" (I FAILed to keep my composure when I heard that one) "We could give everybody a sack, and then they'd be be prepared for the next meeting" Reminds me of playing cards with my great Aunt years ago. "I just shot my wad on that one." My buddy and I used to just about pee ourselves trying not to laugh.
DC Tom Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Pretty weak Thomas. Any actual, legislative examples no.............didn't think so................. . And Seattle didn't ban any words, either...the story's based on an internal memo in some ridiculous department or another. "Freedom Fries" and "Freedom Toast" actually had to make it through committee, believe it or not.

This nonsense in Seattle is just extreme, fabricated political correctness and indicative of the direction the left would like to take us. I don't think Sack University would be an improvement over Brown University but then again "Cleveland Sacks" sounds a little catchy.
IDBillzFan Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Not to be outdone, NYC Dept. of Ed. has 50 words they want removed from standardized testing. Unreal that anyone thinks this way and is allowed to function in public. Fearing that certain words and topics can make students feel unpleasant, officials are requesting 50 or so words be removed from city-issued tests. The word “dinosaur” made the hit list because dinosaurs suggest evolution which creationists might not like, WCBS 880′s Marla Diamond reported. “Halloween” is targeted because it suggests paganism; a “birthday” might not be happy to all because it isn’t celebrated by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In-depth discussions of sports that require prior knowledge They should replace the word "sports" with "any topic"
Nanker Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 (edited) I find it odd that "guns" and "firearms" and "explosives" aren't on the list. Would make discussions about the Bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives one about the Bureau of firearms and explosives, which would be a shame. I use all of their fine products. B-Man Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 COMIC RELIEF: “Brown bag” controversy reveals chink in the armor of language police. These people are illiterate idiots. They should be mocked mercilessly and never taken seriously. Likewise the even bigger idiots who listen to them. UPDATE: Prof. Stephen Clark writes: You are absolutely right when your write, “These people are illiterate idiots. They should be mocked mercilessly and never taken seriously. Likewise the even bigger idiots who listen to them.” However, not only are they idiots, they reveal themselves, all of them, to be racialist to the core. They are literally not normal. Normal people, and by that I mean the great majority of people, do not read racial intent into colloquial expressions of longstanding that have never before had racial coloration. These people are not normal, and they should be dismissed as such. In truth, they are paranoid cranks. http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/173630/
Azalin Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 To ensure this ignorance can not propagate, the education within these camps should last no less than 3 generations shouldn't that be 3.5 generations?
OCinBuffalo Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 shouldn't that be 3.5 generations? Only if that is the mean.
