San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 while I certainly respect our military members.....the word 'HERO' is thrown around way too much these days. being in the military doesn't make you a hero.---Jumping on a grenade to save your fellow troops..now we can start saying 'HERO'. Thank you. I'm sick of every time someone happens to mention that they were in the service that some feel compelled to thank them for this. Some people go into the service because they have no prospects elsewhere and they need a roof over their heads and food on their table. Some people in the service have civilian-type jobs. Some people go into the service to take advantage of the GI Bill. I have great respect for those men and women who put themselves in harm's way in executing their orders but like you say, not everyone who is in the military is a hero and deserves special thanks. There are many courageous people in all walks of life. As for Kyle Williams, the last time he was fully healthy was in 2010, the year he made All Pro.
