BringBackFergy Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 wait...you guys tip...on TAKEOUT!? I usually don't tip on take out...maybe a buck or two if the checkout girl has nice......earlobes
Gugny Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It was takeout. Why leave any tip? They put the food in a friggin' bag.
Nanker Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I tip the driver when I get home delivery. But I don't think I have ever tipped the counter lady when I've picked grub up myself. What gives a person the right to post a copy of your transactional receipt online?
Joe Miner Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 http://www.torontosu...r-leaving-3-tip Holy ****. $75 worth of Chinese takeout. I hope he's got the toilet paper to cover that order.
thr_wedge Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 He gave $3 more than I do when I pick up takeout.
Mr. WEO Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 There should be no expectation of a tip for a takeout order but why throw 3 bucks on the tip line. just leave it blank or make it your usual.
Joe Miner Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I can't stand it. Always round your tips up to make the check a nice whole dollar amount. Is $3.59 too much to ask???
The Big Cat Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 What gives a person the right to post a copy of your transactional receipt online? Yeah...this **** is getting a little too common for my taste. Particularly since it was any tip...on carryout. That's the whole !@#$ing reason you order carryout, so you don't have to tip a server or a driver or pay a delivery fee.
dwight in philly Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 who tips on takeout? this is only a story because of the obvious:brees makes alot of money. should he be held to a different standard because he makes more money than most? i think not, but if one does, where is the line drawn?
The Big Cat Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 who tips on takeout? this is only a story because of the obvious:brees makes alot of money. should he be held to a different standard because he makes more money than most? i think not, but if one does, where is the line drawn? the very fact that he tipped AT ALL puts him in the realm of a "higher" standard. the worst was the tweet comment calculating the tip as a percentage of his salary. wtf!>>
PromoTheRobot Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I have to agree. Takeout, to me, is like buying food at the grocery. You don't tip the checkout girls at the supermarket. PTR
mrags Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 who tips on takeout? this is only a story because of the obvious:brees makes alot of money. should he be held to a different standard because he makes more money than most? i think not, but if one does, where is the line drawn? right. No wonder these guys need millions and millions every year. They are expected to pay a tip on everything.
Joe Miner Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guess where Drew Brees isn't going back to eat. I would fire her for costing me business.
Gugny Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guess where Drew Brees isn't going back to eat. I would fire her for costing me business. You can call and ask for her, or ask for her to be fired by name.
mrags Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guess where Drew Brees isn't going back to eat. I would fire her for costing me business. arent all Chinese takeout places family owned and operated by the illegals in the apartment upstairs?
Brainiac21 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guess where Drew Brees isn't going back to eat. I would fire her for costing me business. Owner donated $888.88 to a Brees charity as an apology.
Chef Jim Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) I always look at the tip jar in take out and think "Really??" If I use a credit card they get nothing. If I use cash they get the coins. And here's the reason why I never tip take out. I'm always afraid that this is going to happen. Edited August 1, 2013 by Chef Jim
