1B4IDie Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Its a lot of risk on the Lambs side. They drafted a WR that doesn't look like Calvin Johnson and gave up a whole lot to get him. Austin would have to put up insanly better numbers that a WR they could have drafted at 16 for the trade to be worthwhile. Let alone comparing Austin to EJ and Kiko. They bet big on Austin. The Lambs don't have a history of making great bets.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Without comparing it to other trades I could see it being very lopsided in favor of the Bills. I'm very high on EJ and very skeptical of Austin.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I disagree, three reasons really: You are talking about rookies who haven't played a down in a real game. Many things can happen between now and 3 years from now, you don't evaluate drafts until 3 years from now. I'm confused about the third reason. The third is something about washing. You can't deny the historic lopsidedness of this trade; don't try coming back in this thread in 3 years and suggesting you called it either.
Leelee Phoenix Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Having these early expectations of Manuel is masochistic.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Having these early expectations of Manuel is masochistic. Having no early expectations of Manuel is reptilian.
NewEra Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 It will take more than both EJ and Manuel... I suppose your right. There's a first time for everything. Ej and Alonso.
