What would be an example of this, towards Egypt, right now.

something worth considering is the peace that's existed between Egypt and Isreal since the days of Begin & Sadat. Mubarek kept that same policy in place. a good foreign policy with regard to Egypt could be helpful in retaining that peace, don't you think?

“SMART DIPLOMACY:”

America’s Problems In The Middle East Are Just Beginning. by David P. Goldman

“America’s credibility in the Middle East, thanks to the delusions of both parties, is broken, and it cannot be repaired within the time frame required to forestall the next stage of violence. Egypt’s military and its Saudi backers are aghast at American stupidity. Israel is frustrated by America’s inability to understand that Egypt’s military is committed to upholding the peace treaty with Israel while the Muslim Brotherhood wants war. Both Israel and the Gulf States observe the utter fecklessness of Washington’s efforts to contain Iran’s nuclear weapons program.”

And what would this policy be?

Obama Not Informed of Extent of Egyptian Violence Until August 15

The Washington Examiner is reporting that Obama "apparently" did not know about the extent of the violence in Egypt until National Security Adviser Susan Rice informed him of it on August 15.

CNN's Jack Tapper reported that the violence that has filled world news outlets for two days and has resulted in hundreds of deaths is just now reaching the president via the individual who infamously blamed Benghazi on a YouTube video.

On August 15 Tapper wrote:

This morning, the president had a phone call, a principals meeting with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State John Kerry, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. It was during that briefing that the president heard about the severity of the violence in Egypt. That conversation motivated him to come out on [August 15] and call for calm.

The Heritage Foundation's James Phillips says: "If Tapper is right, then the president would be well-served to seek information from other sources besides Susan Rice."

Christian homes and shops marked with red graffiti before attack...

To be fair that a major part of their skillset:

Egypt’s Embattled Coptic Church Lashes Out at Western Media for Giving ‘Political Cover’ to ‘Terrorist and Bloody Groups.’

I mean, if they reported accurately, Americans might get angry, and that’s not allowed unless it’s at Republicans.

Bambi Meets Godzilla In The Middle East.

by Walter Russel Mead

President Obama has had a rude awakening in the Middle East. The region he thought existed was an illusion built on American progressive assumptions about the way the world works. In the dream Middle East, democracy at least of a sort was just around the corner. Moderate Islamists would engage with the democratic process, and the experience would lead them to ever more moderate behavior. If America got itself on the “right side of history,” and supported this hopeful development, both America’s values and its interests would be served. Our relationships with the peoples of the Middle East would improve as they saw Washington supporting the emergence of democracy in the region, and Al Qaeda and the other violent groups would lose influence as moderate Islamist parties guided their countries to prosperity and democracy.

This vision, sadly, has turned out to be a mirage, and Washington is discovering that fact only after the administration followed the deceptive illusion out into the deep desert. The vultures are circling now as American policy crawls forlornly over the dunes; with both the New York Times and the Washington Post running “what went wrong” obituaries for the President’s efforts in Egypt, not even the MSM can avoid the harsh truth that President Obama’s Middle East policies have collapsed into an ugly and incoherent mess.

This would be a great time to honor the 1972 Miami Dolphin football team.

Many who thought they were a branch of the Loyal Order of Raccoons are discovering the murdering Brotherhood to be Obama's BFFs.

Obama’s Strange Love Affair with the Muslim Brotherhood

by Roger L. Simon

It’s hard to fathom how or why our administration ever thought the Muslim Brotherhood saw democracy as other than a means to an end — and a particularly repellent one at that — in the first place.

It’s not as if the MB is subtle. They have proclaimed who they are since their founding by Hasan al Banna in 1928 and have not wavered in any significant way since in their global jihadist goals. They have also been unstinting in their massive misogyny, homophobia and rigid support of Shariah law über alles (quite literally über alles, since the Brotherhood were — virtually the last still unrepentant — allies of Hitler in WWII).

You know, liberal stuff.

Democracy, as their kissing cousin Turkey’s Erdogan so blithely explained, is “like a streetcar. When you come to your stop, you get off.” Or, as one of the Brotherhood’s own internal documents put it in that oh-so-distant year of 2007, they (the MB) are dedicated to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house.”

That’s from the Muslim Brotherhood’s “General Strategic Goal” for North America. The “miserable house” of Western civilization of course includes all the tenets of classical liberalism and most of those laterally paid lip service by today’s soi-disant “liberals” (rights of women, rights of homosexuals, freedom of expression, ad tedium, ad hypocrisia).

And yet those same liberals — not to mention the increasingly addle-brained John McCain who seemingly can’t tell an al-Qaeda operative from Paul Revere — are suddenly pounding Saharan sand in outrage at the extreme treatment of the Brotherhood at the hands of the mean Egyptian military.

The really interesting point for me in all of this is here:

But speaking of strange love affairs, our liberals continue to act as if Obama is normal, at least most of them do. You see actual Western (liberal) women speaking up in defense of the Muslim Brotherhood on cable television. Are they crazy? Have they lost their minds? Have they ever been to Cairo?

Well, I have — and it’s unspeakably poor and depressed. The Egyptians, as many have written, can barely feed themselves. If you cared even the slightest about the Egyptian people, you would unremittingly support the Egyptian military. They are the Egyptians’ only hope for a decent life at this point.

A radio personality calls Sandra Fluke a slut, and every prog goes nuts and she gets a call from the president. A mediocre basketball player says he's gay, and not only is he at the front of a parade, but he gets a call from the president.

But the Muslim Brotherhood, who would not hesitate a single moment to execute either Fluke or Collins, gets multiple WH visits, a pass from the president and a big ol' high-five howsitgoing from liberals everywhere in the US.

That's embarrassing and unfortunate on multiple levels.

You can lay blame on low information voters and the MSM. The Muslim Brotherhood are enemies of the United States. The White House and Obama has treated them as partners. You strangely also have McCain and Graham wanting to pull funds going to the Egyptian military who are fighting the brotherhood. Our enemies.

This is no longer the same America we grew up in. DC (including the GOP) is sadly on the side of evil. This is what you get when stupid people vote en masse.
