\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 http://www.star-tele...make-major.html So every time you make a call, you're supporting Jerry Jones.
Mr. ChumChums Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 AT&T also has naming rights for the SF Giants ballpark (AT&T Park). Wonder if that's going to ever cause confusion.
Bills fan since 87 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Say what you will about Ralph Wilson Stadium (or prior to; Rich) but we have not succumbed to the dot com/name-brand-here fad......yet. or maybe we did originally? Where did the Rich in Rich stadium come from?

Where did the Rich in Rich stadium come from? That fad makes a lot of money. Not sure if not "succumbing" to it makes the Bills a smart organization. Even Jerry Jones didn't name a stadium after himself.
MOFO Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Rich products...we were cutting edge.... Why not AT&T field at Cowboys Stadium...kinda like what the Broncos do...it really gets stupid...
biglukes Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) That fad makes a lot of money. Not sure if not "succumbing" to it makes the Bills a smart organization. Even Jerry Jones didn't name a stadium after himself. According to some of the locals I met when I was down there last year, the nickname for the area around the stadium is referred to as "Jerry World". Although they didn't call it that as an expression of admiration. Edited July 25, 2013 by biglukes
Meatloaf Sandwich Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I just call them by the team playing like the Giants and Jets stadium. I call it Giants/Jets stadium.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Rich products...we were cutting edge.... Indeed we were one of the first teams ever to sell stadium naming rights. Some earlier names, such as Wrigley Field and Busch Stadium used the team owner's name which was also attached to other products. Fenway Park was named for the neighborhood it's in, but the stadium's first owner also owned Fenway Realty. The Patriots selling of their stadium naming rights to Schaefer Brewery in 1971 slightly predates Rich Stadium.
aristocrat Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I love how the arlington mayor says that the city will receive 500k a year from the deal which will help pay the money back the city loaned to the cowboys...they loaned 325 mil which at 500k per year would be like 600 and some years...ok bud
BillsWatch Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Maybe Cowboys will move to LA as Jerry promised a team or two would and will tell AT&T that paid for naming rights but no guarantee that Cowboys will play there.
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Say what you will about Ralph Wilson Stadium (or prior to; Rich) but we have not succumbed to the dot com/name-brand-here fad......yet. or maybe we did originally? Where did the Rich in Rich stadium come from? Are you serious? Rich Products BFLO is always azz backwards... We were naming stadiums after corporations when everybody was naming them after people... Now we are naming them after people when everybody is naming them after corporations! Go figure! LoL Indeed we were one of the first teams ever to sell stadium naming rights. True... Some bucked the trend... Mostly all family names, including Rich.
Kkspike Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Fenway park opened four days after the Titantic sank.
