I have a flash light that runs on no batterie.. Has button (lever) on it that you push several times to make it work.

I have a flash light that runs on no batterie.. Has button (lever) on it that you push several times to make it work.

 

It still has a battery. Just like the free plays (wind up)... When you push that button (or wind) you are charging the battery.

 

This one appears to run soley on body heat?

Not to take away from the ingenuity of the basic idea, but it looks to me that in practice (at least for now) it really isn't producing a strong beam of light to make a useful flashlight - it is just causing some low power LEDs to glow in the dark.

Consider me skeptical but how can pure body heat produce enough energy to power a light bulb ? Also, after a bit of time, the air inside the flashlight will equate in temperature to the body and the temperature gradient will be lost. What am I missing here ?
