eball Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) For some strange reason I'm reminded of Ralph Kiner's infamous Father's Day introduction during a Mets broadcast in the mid-80s: "It's Father's Day here at Shea, and we'd like to wish all of the fathers out there a Happy Birthday!" ExiledInIllinois Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Canada Day, July 1st. Is that coincidence that it is so close to the 4th of July? Kinda like 90% of all Canadians living within 100 miles of the US. Boy, if they just want to be the US, they should have said something against the darn Brits in 1776! J/K... Enjoy...

I was just speaking about this to my parents on Saturday. Funny you brought it up! Happy Canada Day, Canadian friends.
Cugalabanza Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 For some strange reason I'm reminded of Ralph Kiner's infamous Father's Day introduction during a Mets broadcast in the mid-80s: "It's Father's Day here at Shea, and we'd like to wish all of the fathers out there a Happy Birthday!" I was actually born on Father's Day, so this seems perfectly appropriate to me.
