millbank
Mike Vanderjagt has created a fuss the last few days with his comments , as he did a couple of years ago. Vanderjagt feels he is going to be a cap casualty this year, perhaps this is why he spouted off again . He is a very good kicker but comes with a interesting personality would you lke him as Bills kicker. Sure would be nice to have kicker to count on, but he is a firecracker waiting to go off any time.....
Ramius
hell yes!!!! this really requires no thought...the guy has missed all of like 2 kicks in the past 2 yrs (granted he kicks in a dome), but hell of a kicker...

He kicks in a dome, that really says it all. Also, he doesn't have to kick many high pressure kicks for the colts since theyre usually up by 20+ points. Ol' mikey boy is better than SINdell though, so I would take him I guess.
Ozymandius
I'd take him over Lindell, of course, but I'd rather have someone with a huge kickoff leg and the obligatory field goal accuracy

Here's his outdoor stats: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12783/splits/2004 not too shabby.

Yes Vanderjagt home stadium is a dome, but the Colts also play road games and I get no sense that Vandy is someone who is considered a liability on the road. In fact making basically every kick you are asked to make means you can kick outside and inside unless the stats show some bizarre discrepancy. 2, The Colts didn't get homefied advantage this year or last because they lost a few games. This team does put a ton of points on the board but the rap on them is that they also give up a ton of points. This means that even if they score 30 they are not up by 20 all the time as you suggest. d_wag
he'd be a great addition.........as for him being over-rated due to the dome, let's not forget he toiled in the CFL before coming to the NFL.......he used to kicking in bad conditions....... Mark VI
He doesn't kickoff anymore. That means having to waste another roster spot for a kickoff specialist.

And before that he taunted the patsies bench. I don't want a kicker who taunts(includes gramatica). If vandy can get his act under control id be glad to have him since I think I have made it clear in the past that SINdell may be the biggest reason we aren't in the playoffs right now(sorry, but if he hits that kick, i bet we win the game: it wasnt ALL drews fault). I can't think of anyone who does it. Wasn't there one guy from Minnesota. Mitch Berger, maybe.

pm73
five years ago this would have been a resounding YES. he is still a good kicker but he will probably only get worse over the next few years. he is 35 years old and while 35 for a kicker is more like 30 for any other player, his best years are still probably behind him. i would take him in a heartbeat over lindell but i would rather take a shot on a younger up and comer whose best years are ahead of him.
